So I had a grandchild attend this daycare, and ever since day 1 we have had problems. I have reported this place to licensing about the way the children are treated & staff. Some staff members are upset on how other staff members are being treated. There was an incident when an older child came in early in the morning and all the children were in 1 room. And that child was infested in bugs that they were falling off his head and onto others kids and on the floor. They had that child picked up but did not close the room and clean. The director/owner is the worst person, she does not appreciate her staff & they are always understaffed. I had a niece that use to work there and she quit due to the director and how they treated the children. The do not have a set daily/weekly curriculum for the children. They just have them do whatever they want. This place need to be closed or a new director.
I don't currently have my child here, as she's in kinder now, but I did have her in this daycare for a short period of time. The person who wrote the review who is a former employee is ABSOLUTELY RIGHT. The staff played on their phones, were rude and not friendly half the time, to be honest looked ghetto and not professional AT ALL, most of them had attitude. It was a nightmare. The owners daughter took over and I don't even know that she actually understands what listening to someone is. She usually just listens to respond, and no matter what you say she will be right. They'd tell me I only owed ____ and then when I'd go in to pay it, it would be $50-$100 MORE. I'm not even joking. This place is a nightmare. There were two good teachers that my daughter had, AYLA and DANICA, and they were the ONLY reason I allowed her to stay there. Ayla quit because of all the BS going on around there, and I'm not sure what happened to Danica as I took my daughter out as soon as we enrolled for school. Unless this place is nothing like it used to be, do not send your children here.
First of all the director is unprofessional, she was so stuck in her way she couldnt stay at home her full 6 weeks after she had her baby cause she is money hungry and not too mention how she kick a 12 month old out for biting, she never had kids so she dont have the experience on kids biting. I hope her little grows up to bite and let her see what babies do !!
In my honest opinion, this daycare is fantastic! I love my child more than life itself so I would never, ever leave him at just any old daycare. Educare is so much like an actual school. It brings a tear to my eye when I pick my boy up at the end of my workday and he is all smiles with tons of stories about what he did and learned that day. He has made so many friends and has become quite the teachers pet among his rotating caregivers. These 'teachers' are not trained but they don't need to be. They are basically babysitters who, that I've seen, are kind to the children and obviously have a positive affect on my child. He's a very outspoken three year old and speaks very highly of this school. The owners daughter, who is now in charge, is a friendly person who does an excellent job at making me, -: a parent, feel safe and comfortable. When my child is hurt, she calls and let's me know asap and always has more details when I arrive for pick up. The same goes for when my child is the culprit. Punishment is time out, stern talking to and even having the child speak to a prent over the phone to be scolded. All perfectly acceptable forms of 'punishment' of toddlers and other small children. Every morning, there is always ALWAYS breakfast being prepared. We like to joke that I'm going to stay and eat breakfast with his buddies and that he can go to work for me. I could go on. Bottom line is, this place is outstanding!
Worked here six months ago. Hired me ten minutes after an interview where the only question that was close to child concern was if I had a younger sibling and/or watched kids before.
I had no training at all, and was put into this facility head first. They didn't drug test me (Not that I do drugs) but these people didn't know me, and i very well could have been a druggie. No background check, either. Only expirence I had with kids was going to school with kids my age. The 'teachers' are only referred to as teachers to make the parents dropping kids off more comfortable with letting their kids come here, as the boss told me. None of these 'teachers' have experience.
Employees curse in front of kids. Some employees would even spank the children. I witnessed a 'teacher' tell a kid at nap time that if he didn't sleep, the monsters would come get him and his mommy and daddy wouldn't want him anymore. Staff plays on their phones while kids are free to do whatever. They don't report fighting/biting/kicking/hitting among kids to parents. Any bad behavior is just written off and not addressed to help see why these kids were upset.
Worked here six months trying to make the daycare better, talking to kids and addressing their problems and bad behavior, but had to quit after seeing an employee yell at an student autistic child that he was a retard. Couldn't do it.
Don't bring your kids here. These people are day care nightmares. This is the horror mothers and dads are scared of raising their kids.
This FACILTY IS UNSANITARY, UNEDUCATED, RUDE, UNHELPFUL, & SHOULD NOT BE IN BUSINESS. IF POSSIBLE , I'D GIVE THIS DAYCARE 0 STARS. I HAD MY 9 MONTH OLD ENROLLED FOR LESS THAN TWO WEEKS BECAUSE HOW UNSATISFIED I WAS WITH THEM. 1ST OF ALL, IN THE INFANT ROOM THEY DIDN'T HAVE A WORKING FREEZER TO STORE MY BABY'S BREASTMILK, THEREFORE IT THAWED OUT AT ROOM TEMPERATURE & WASN'T FED TO MY BABY IN TIME. ON ANOTHER OCCASION, THE TEACHER'S THOUGHT HIS BREASTMILK WENT BAD (EVEN THOUGH IT'S GOOD FOR UP TO 6 MONTHS FROZEN)-BECAUSE IT WAS YELLOW, (WHICH IS ALSO A SIGN OF HEALTHY MILK) & DECIDED TO THROW IT OUT. 2NDLY, THEY WEREN'T FEEDING MY BABY! THEY WOULD FEED HIM 1 OZ HERE, 2 OZ'S THERE..& ON ONE DAY THEY ONLY FED HIM 6 OZ THE WHOLE DAY! THAT COULD LEAD TO DEHYDRATION & IS CAUSE FOR CONCERN..& I SHOULD HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED, BUT OF COURSE, I WASN'T. NEITHER DID THEY OFFER ANY OTHER LIQUIDS TO HIM TO KEEP MY BABY FROM BECOMING DEHYDRATED, NO WATER OR JUICE. ALSO, WHEN I WOULD DROP IN TO CHECK ON THE BABY DURING THE DAY, I NEVER SAW THE TEACHER ENGAGING IN ACTIVITY OR PLAYING WITH THE BABIES. THE BABIES WERE ALWAYS IN THE ROOM DOING THEIR OWN THINGS. I DON'T BELIEVE THE TEACHERS HAVE ANY KIND OF LICENSE OR TRAINING OF CHILD CARE. OH, AND NOT TO MENTION, THE OWNER IS A VERY MEAN INDIVIDUAL, HE ALWAYS HAS A FROWN ON HIS FACE& A VERY BITTER PERSONALITY , NOT THE FACE OF A "CHILD-FRIENDLY" PLACE. THIS IS THE WORSE DAYCARE EVER.
