Never will I ever put myself in such a toxic environment again. The managers don't care about your kids . PEORID. It's only up to the teachers! In witch they work hard to care for the children with no educational support from the managers. I doubt if corporate even cares to watch the cameras in this building. Honestly, I don't know where to start. Lets go from the mold that they paint and cover over in the infant rooms, to the way everyone is talking behind others' back. If you don't mind having your child being yelled at to "be quiet" all day, hands popped by the bathroom, or get judged on how you take care of your kids, therefore welcome to "Child Care Network" . Working with the after-school children, they told me personally how they feel about this center. The playground and bathrooms are dirty. There's nothing for the bigger kids to do or learn and I never heard of them going on a field trip. They cut my hours short so I would barely make any money. Finally, I got into an accident that left me in bandages and future surgery. They never thought of checking on me after I called in. I took it upon myself to not return for personal reasons. I'm only blessed to be this financially stable. Sad to say, as long as they get paid, they could care less what your child might have learned that day. Although they will be quick to make sure you are aware of your child being bad. They deleted the last workers' bad review, but it's 2022 and it's up to you.
The staff at Childcare Network on Shearton Drive is so amazing. I love the inviting atmosphree. They made me feel confortable with leaving my daughters in their care. The admin is very professional and the staff is so friendly and loving. This is the best daycare in the Macon area in my opinion. Great Vibes!!
Highly recommend visiting them and enrolling if your looking for care.
I used this daycare for my son from 6 weeks until he was entering kindergarten. It was great while it was still Children's Friend, but once it was bought out by CN everything went downhill. The diversity was no more. The good teachers were gone or leaving, and people were pulling their children out right and left. Once we experienced bullying issues, I was fired up enough to leave but couldn't because of my work. This bullying was ignored by the teachers ( infront of my face, even ). Also, they will refuse your child breakfast if you are not there at/before 8:30 exactly. It is ridiculous!!
My son attends this Childcare Network for before school care and absolutely enjoys being there. The staff are all kind and very helpful and I am very pleased. Also, both managers are very considerate of the kinds and have created a friendly environment there. I appreciate the time they take to explain their services to you because it's been a long time since I've had to uses a daycare center for any service, but I can honestly say that I like where my child is and so does he.
Sincerely,
Shawanda Wells
I would NOT recommend this place. Since moving, I've had to change my child's daycare. This place has been a major let down since my child's first day Jan 6, 2014. The slogan of being " a working parent's best friend" needs to be removed. Most of the staff I've encountered have been uncaring & rudely inconsiderate. How could you deny a child breakfast who arrives "before" 8:30? Why should I have to contact Ms. Tonya, the Asst. Manager, after she comes in from the bus route, to make sure my child gets to eat breakfast? On mornings of running behind but arriving between at 8:26 and 8:30, why do I have to worry if my child will be fed breakfast? God forbid we arrive at 8:33, Ms. Shenique has made it perfectly clear that breakfast was over... no exceptions. This is inconsiderate to the child & an inconvenience to the parent, on so many levels. I have once been in my car, calling the daycare while en route at 8:15 asking for a message to be relayed to the toddler's class teacher so she'd know he's on his way. However, Ms. Taylor in another classroom answered the phone & refused to relay the message but assured me that if my child's there by 8:30 he will be fed. At 8:26, breakfast was over! To be sure my child had breakfast, I was expected to sign him out & take him "back" home to eat. I was so upset! By this time it's now 8:30 & upon walking out, I saw children in Ms. Taylor's class & other staff eating breakfast. There was fruit, a huge bowl of oatmeal & a gallon of milk still out. Ms. Taylor scoffed, even laughed at me for asking if my child could be given breakfast from her class. Ms. Taylor's response was "Oh no! That's food for MY class"! This woman looked me in my face & simply smirked. After 4 weeks of the headache & unresponsive, uncaring attitude especially of Shenique, I decided to take my child someplace else. I have reported my concerns to the director & even the district director, Ms. Hardin. This place is more of a burden to the working parent. I constantly have to leave my office & peak in on my child, just for my peace-of-mind. If this is the way I am being treated & made to feel unwelcomed, I can only imagine how my child might be treated. This place was awful. While I appreciate Ms. Tonya & her efforts, she is still only one person. I don't think it's fair to have to constantly rely on her to do everything & be everywhere.
