Child Discovery Center of First Presbyterian Church

Our Child Discovery Center has been in operation for almost 50 years. We are a 4+ STAR, Accredited and Florida Gold Seal Center. We use the nationally recognized curriculums Creative & High Reach. Every Wednesday we hold chapel for all preschool students with FPC’s children’s pastor. The material is nondenominational and always age appropriate. We run low teacher/child ratios. Our staff members are well-trained professionals, and we have long term staff with no turnover which provides stability for the children.

All classrooms and our playground are constantly monitored by video surveillance cameras. We offer free 4 year old VPK, and we hold a graduation ceremony for VPK every year. We provide full-time care for children 6 weeks of age through 5th grade.

Nutritious meals and snacks are provided for free as well as infant formula and infant cereal. Special lunches are provided for parents and grandparents. We offer special classes in Art, Music, PE, as well as Individualized Education Plans. We have computers in all the classrooms for educational purposes.

We provide a professionally prepared quarterly developmental progress report on each child and hold parent conferences to review them. Community Projects, Field Trips, Summer Camps and much, much more!
