Description: El Dorado County State Preschool programs provide an enriching experience for both full cost and income eligible families with preschool children ages 3 years to kindergarten enrollment. Subsidized program eligibility is determined by the Department of Education, Child Development Division. A Montessori Preschool is offered on the Rescue Elementary and Blue Oak Elementary School Campus. Preschool programs provide individualized early education, focusing on school readiness and literacy skills. Each program operates 3.5 hours per day Monday through Friday and some programs have the option of wrapping with the Head Start program if income eligible. Breakfast or a snack are provided to each child. Parents are encouraged to become active participants in their child’s preschool education by volunteering in the classroom and participating on Parent Council.
Where possible, ChildcareCenter provides inspection reports as a service to families. This information is deemed reliable, but is not guaranteed. We encourage families to contact the daycare provider directly with any questions or concerns, as the provider may have already addressed some or all issues. Reports can also be verified with your local daycare licensing office.
