Description: Each year, our childcare program welcomes 140 culturally diverse children, including children from East Boston's growing new immigrant, Latino population, African-American, Asian and European-American children. The program offers sliding-scale fees based on a family's income level because we believe that quality childcare should be available to everyone regardless of income level. The Social Center's early childcare goals are: to provide a safe, stimulating and educational environment to children; to support and educate families; and to provide the highest-quality service to prepare culturally diverse families for life-long success.
