Description: Auten Road Intermediate School is a school of approximately 1200 fifth and sixth graders. The school reflects the racial and ethnic diversity of the Hillsborough community. The school benefits from the tremendous energy, love of life and excitement for learning that is a part of the developmental levels of ten to twelve year olds. In addition to a solid academic program, there are many opportunities for the students to explore interests in clubs, instrumental music, vocal music, world language and more. The focus is on the development of the whole child. Systemically, the students continue to develop the character traits introduced in the elementary schools with emphasis on respect for all members of the learning community.
