I have used this provider for less than 6 months

Word of warning!

We were totally floored to learn, by email, that our 4 year old son was expelled from Castle Academy after only 1 month. This past Wednesday they said that they want him OUT by the end of the week. What was his crime against humanity? Merely behaving like a typical 4 year old having a tantrum (kicking, hitting, throwing things etc…). This testing behavior was something I thought that we were working through with the school, but apparently this school operates on a zero tolerance platform.

Please do not risk sending your children to this school. I believe that there is a greater than 90% chance that your child would be fine here, and the facilities appear to be excellent. However, please consider the potential consequences of being one of the unlucky ones. Research has shown that children below the age of 5 who are expelled from school have a greater chance of receiving unnecessary medical and psychological evaluation, unnecessary medication, have a greater chance to drop out of school or face other academic disciplinary action in the future, and even have a greater chance of ending up in prison. Please search for “preschool to prison” articles. This is because it is essential at this age that children receive love and compassion from their teachers. This is a period where bonding to teachers is very important. This school sent my son the message that he is not wanted there and by doing so may have set him up for irreparable psychological damage that may haunt him all his life… thanks a lot Castle Academy. I was so wrong to trust the well-being of my family to you!

A school that is unable to deal with NORMAL 4 year old behavior should not be in business and may do more harm to children than good with their self-serving practices. They simply do not care and their teachers are children themselves who lack the experience to deal with ANY children in a consistent manner that could be considered safe for the child or that has the best interest of the child in mind.

My incessant prayer is that the Lord will deal with them as they have dealt with us.
