About the Provider
Programs are located in the elementary school where the participants are enrolled, creating consistency for the children and easing the burden of transportation for parents. We are open before school from 7:30 am, and until 6:00 pm in Anchorage and 6:30 pm in Eagle River.
Before- and after-school care helps working families and keeps kids safe while offering them challenging activities and learning experiences. Our mission is to provide every child with the opportunity to find the best in themselves and others in a safe, fun, learning environment. We understand that quality after-school programming helps children develop social, emotional, physical and academic skills and are key to helping our young people become successful adults.
We focus on establishing caring, mentoring, adult relationships, nurturing their social and emotional growth, and promoting physical activity and healthy life choices.
sap shotLearn about how the Wise Kids curriculum is helping Camp Fire kids make good choices about food, nutrition and physical activity.We offer program on most scheduled school closure days, including in-service days and winter and spring breaks, offering arts & crafts, cooking, science projects, field trips, games, outdoor play, breakfast, snacks and more, for $40/day.
Camp Fire is also usually open in select locations during unplanned closures (emergency or snow days).
