Description: It is our belief that children learn best when they are in a nurturing environment, are able to make their own choices, and have positive interactions with adults and peers. Busy Bees Academy believes that the environment must be safe, caring, comfortable and equally promotes all areas of a childs development; physical, social, emotional and intellectual. Children are curious and have the desire to learn and grow. By providing an enriching environment they will feel safe to explore their surroundings. This positive learning environment allows staff to better learn about and meet the individual needs of the children. Children must have opportunities to learn how to function effectively within a group setting and become aware of the needs of others, while at the same time being accepted as an individual. Child initiated and teacher supported play is essential to the program. With this the children use their curiosity, creativity and self-esteem. By forming close relationships with children and their families Busy Bees Academy staff will provide a consistent balance between home and school.
