Findings: During virtual inspection today, Licensing Specialist observed a school aged child in a room on the second floor of the provider's home. The second floor of the home is not approved by the fire inspector, therefore is listed as off-limits space on the registration certificate. Child care children should not be in rooms that are listed as off limits. Provider's spouse and approved substitute was on the first floor of the home and was checking on the child, so supervision was not an issue during inspection. Provider should make a space for the child on the first floor in the living or family room or in the basement - all of which are approved child care spaces. If provider wants the second floor added as approved space, please have the fire inspector approve it at the next inspection. Please send photo of child's new work space to Licensing Specialist. | |||
