Very disappointing year. My kindergartener had multiple teachers during the school year. The original teacher left in the beginning of the year leaving the assistant in charge. They hired another teacher that left after a few months and never returned due to her mother passing. The assistant was again running the classroom until they brought a teacher back who was on maternity leave, she left after a few weeks. I happened to find out during a random conversation with another parent, the school never informed the parents. The assistant was running the classroom until the original teacher from the beginning of the school year returned to finish out the year. We paid premium prices for a certified Montessori teacher but that's not what the school provided. It was a chaotic and disruptive year. In addition to multiple teachers, there was an outbreak of strep throat. The health department stepped in to help guide the school through the outbreak. My email was overwhelmed with each strep announcement. The misinformation and lack of communication left us feeling uneasy. There are other schools in the area that have more experience and have worked through the problems that come up with running a school. At some point this school could be great but it's not there yet. On a positive note, the diversity of the student body was impressive. Also, the school's directress was wonderful but I can't imagine how hard her job must be with so many issues going on.
Our family has not been very happy with the school.
