About the Provider

Description: At Bobbie's Daycare Learning Center we offer wide range of enriching
activities for each child:

To build a very strong foundation of emotional, social and physical skills.
We have open communication with parents.Suggestions and comments
are welcomed.
We encourage parents to be open and let us know if any changes are
required.

Supported by our curriculum especially designed under the lime light of
the Montessori system, children are taught in a low pressure environment.

Children will develop all skills that will help them in their future academic
success.

We emphasize cognitive skills like with sequencing, matching, art,
language, and story telling.

Music, movement, and dance is a part of our program.

We, at Bobbie's Learning Center, offer lots of opportunity to our children to
establish a lifelong learning.

The trained staff at our center has designed a very strong curriculum and
they plan activities that encourage young infants, toddlers and
preschoolers to eagerly investigate the world around them.

During the hours of operation, our classroom has lots of creative arts,
jigsaw puzzles, blocks, and imaginary play. Also, our small library always
has lots of books for discovery.

We go outside twice everyday and have lots of outdoor activities like
jumping and running. The children get to use different outdoor equipment.

Finger play and songs are incorporated into each day to foster a child's
world around them.

Children are encouraged to practice putting away their belongings, picking
up their toys and sharing with other children.

Children are encouraged to differentiate between good and bad manners.

Our program for infants includes a nursery which has been designed as a
warm, loving, and caring environment.

Once they came into our care, they will be surrounded by love and
affection. The nursery is designed to create a warm and secure
environment for infants and young toddlers, and is full of stimulating toys.
We sing them songs, read them stories, hold them, and cuddle them to
instill trust, security and provide comfort and happiness.

We would love parents to work with us to ensure consistency in their
infant's schedule between home and Bobbie's Learning Center.

Each infant has their own crib, sheets, and covers. We try to have their
own toys, as much as possible, to avoid contamination.

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

Our child has been learning well at the center, in last 8 months she has grown intellectually and honed the social skills. The faculty focuses on Kindergarten readiness and exposes her to sign language, art, writing, reading and math. The environment is warm and loving, the facility is clean and teachers are knowledgeable.
I would recommend this facility.

I have used this provider for less than 6 months

Reasons why you should NEVER send your child here:

1. She strapped my toddler in a chair all day long and was very proud of it: fed her in it, wiped her down with an entire pack of baby wipes in it, etc.

2. My outgoing toddler would start to cry whenever we would pull into the driveway. On seeing her face, crying would turn into blood-curdling screaming. As the days went on, it only got worse. When I would return 30 minutes later, I could still hear my child continuously screaming all the way from the driveway.

3. She is also extremely arrogant and treats people like trash. It is unbelievable that she has any clients. I am actually shocked that this daycare still exists.

Reasons I initially enrolled:

1. The facility seemed clean.

2. She emphasizes kindergarten readiness, especially reading.

None of those things outweighed the bad.

I have toured this provider's facility, but have not used its services

This is the most pathetic daycare ever. The owner has no manners at all. She is arrogant and rude. I would never recommend this daycare to anyone.

Our son has been at this facility since 3 months old…he's now almost 3 years old, and we plan on keeping him here until Kindergarten. He loves it! The center is in the owner's basement, which has a separate entrance and has been transformed to be like a classroom. There is also an infant room in the back. As a baby, he would be in different 'stations' throughout the day (swing, high chair, floor time, etc) and brought in to be a part of the classroom activities. Early on, he would sit at the table for lessons, or even with the teacher while she taught. From day one, music was very prevalent in the program, which my son loves. One of the teachers regularly plays guitar, they do art projects daily, lessons, go outside, and have a strong curriculum based on the Montessori approach. They teach the children to be independent and respect each other. We have been so impressed by how well behaved the children are, how well our son interacts and plays with other children, and how much he already knows. We appreciate that is he around both older kids and babies, as he is able to learn from them and loves to help the little ones. The owner will do observations and update the parents. Being first time parents, we have also had good conversations about different stages, and potty training went great. The owner can be a little adamant on certain things, but we value her advice. It would be great if there were more regular updates when they're infants/toddlers, and on things in general, but all the other positive things outweigh this for us. We highly recommend this facility.

Former parent Jan 09, 2015

Our daughter was enrolled here from age 1-4 and had a wonderful experience. It is a loving environment where she was given a great education. Our daughter was writing her own name at age 3 and could read before starting kindergarten. I agree that communication was lacking on what the kids do for their daily routine, but that didn't really bother me all that much as I saw her growing and learning. Plus my child LOVED it there. She was always excited to go and loved the care provider. Would recommend to any parent.

As a former parent that had her child enrolled at this facility newborn to toddler, I would not recommend this facility. The owner lacks communication and refuses to listens to the parents. She will continually do what she thinks is best, rather than the routine that the child is used to. I had my child enrolled for a little over a year and she would continually just feed her breast milk when I would tell her that I was unable to keep up with the demand. Multiple times, my husband would find our daughter in a corner in her car seat not engaged with the other children, once she was able to crawl and walk, she was still segregated from the other children. Rather than having our child take part of the group, she was put into a pack n play or sat in a chair that she was unable to get out of (since it had a lock top). Our friends had witnessed a newborn infant after drop off being left in the car seat in the infant room without any supervision. Additionally, our child would come home a mess and her bottom was constantly red, my husband and I had decided that our child wasn t changed nearly as regularly as she had stated. This would have been a simple fix of just taking a wet paper towel to her face, instead we believe that she was being fed in her car seat and jacket at times. When confronted about this, she denied it. The car seat should not be utilized other than when the parents drop off their child and the parents put them back in to go home at the end the day.

Our biggest complaint that we constantly brought to the owners attention was that we have no idea what our child does all day. Her answer was always the same, well we did the pledge of allegiance, yoga....etc. I can care less about this, what specifically did my child do, did you focus on a certain topic for the day...week...month? Something that we can reinforce at home? The daily reports were a joke, all we got out of that was that our child had a good day. As our child was hitting her milestones - such as sitting, we asked if she was practicing that while she was there. The response we got, we have circle time, but that is for children at 6 months old. What does it matter? My child can sit at 4.5-5months old and should be part of the circle time.

To this day, my husband and I have no idea what our child had done for over a year going to this facility 3 days a week. Not to mention that I was told my child doesn t like to be disciplined, hence why she was found in the pack n play. Apparently at 4pm when parents start to arrive, she would run to the door. Rather than distracting her with playing in the play areas or engaging her in learning, she was instead punished by being placed in the pack n play (which she hates to this day whenever we use our at friends houses) without toys or anything.

This facility has the potential to be a great place, however the owner really needs to take a look at her competition and really take the time to talk and listen to the parents. It unfortunate that we had to leave.
