I feel really sorry for the kiddos and the parents who put their trust into this school. The minute the parents leave the child’s sight…teachers are on their phones, the administrators could care less, and all dedication is put towards making the school LOOK like the best place to bring your child. The supervision is terrible. Last summer (2021) a child walked out of the location in Carbondale and was found by a biker on a nearby trail! Pathetic! Licensing is often randomly checking in due to the number of incidents/complaints. Teachers as well as students are packing it up and leaving this place behind so quick you can’t keep track of who is your child’s teacher today or who their classmates will be. The school does a fantastic job of covering up their flaws. Be sure to really investigate before you sign your child up. Just because this place offers some “healthy” food and keeps it’s doors open until 5:30…shouldn’t be the reason you chose to attend. The lack of care at one location vs the next is night and day… but staff have been known to be terminated if they speak up. Several teachers have nearly zero education. Do you want someone teaching your child who can not even obtain a GED?!? You can not teach preschool if you never passed the third grade… that’s crazy! But if you land a spot in the prek prep room… they will look like they are learning when they show back up with a project. For example… the kids were learning about geology.. which no preschooler should be learning anyways… but they asked the parents to bring a rock in. The class rushed to paint them and returned them home at the end of the week apparently after learning all about geology. ALL THEY DID WAS PAINT A TINY ROCK!!! And parents paid more for that education….? Ask your kid what they leaned and the kid will look at you and ask “about what” ? These kids should be focused of social, emotional, and gross motor skills! Pretending they know about geology is not preparing them for kindergarten. The director is a joke and no where to be found. But she will fool you as much as possible during gatherings/events. Friday is everyone in the offices day off. Pretty coincidental or is it planned that everyone who makes the schedule has a three day weekend? I hope parents of children can take their time when choosing a preschool. This is the foundation for their education. Just because many child care centers are hard to get into in the valley doesn’t mean you should settle for a bad one!
