I have used this provider for more than 6 months

My daughter came to the daycare after having to go through three separate daycare. My daughter has experienced some severe abuse at the hands of a different daycare. She has some issues with trust and now anger. These people have gone over and Beyond to help my child to adapt and to make her feel comfortable they take my phone calls at least twice a day just to check on her with a smile on their face every time. Sabrina is amazing as is the rest of the staff. Thank you blossom for taking care of my baby.

FIX THIS FACILITY 2014-11-04 20:26:12

I am appalled by the conditions of the Blossom Childcare Facility #5 here in Tulsa. If I had known that place was going to be that ridiculously filthy all the time. I would have never let my kids in the door. Mopping the floor with water is NOT mopping. It always smells like funk in there, like dirty diaper or urine. While a couple of the ladies that work there are very nice, Kim has not been. Negative and rude to say the least. She's yelling at the littlest kids first thing in the morning. If you can't handle little kids, don't work in a daycare center.. Also, I'd like to know how my 3 year contracted mono at this facility,... on top of a UTI from not cleaning after using the toliet properly. She's 3! You're supposed to help her! AND the pink eye she has caught twice, TWICE in less than a month.. I understand pink eye is contagious but twice in a month's timeframe is too much. Do they not show the children how to wash their hands? Are they just not paying attention? Teach cleanliness to help us parents out at home. My kids get a bath every night. There is no reason why my kids should be sick all the time if they are receiving help with cleanliness at childcare. Another thing, why are my children being given candy and cookies without my knowledge. As I understand it, this facility does not brush the children's teeth so why are they handing out candy. Will the facility be paying my children's dental bills? Also, although we do not at this time know of any allergies our children may have toward candies/cookies' ingredients, who's to say the candy doesn't contain something they are allergic to? Why are my 3 and 1 year old watching TV or a movie EVERY TIME I go to pick them up??? Why am I notified of my child having busted her eye as I was picking my girls up? The lady that gave me the sheet, (with handwriting that was not legible), said it was just a scratch. NO! It was a cut, deep in my one year's eyelid. Not deep enough for stitches but it didn't look like they had even tried to clean it. My children's noses are always crusted with snot that wasn't cleaned off. Do the personnel in these facilities not receive training? Are they certified at all to take care of children? Someone needs to fix the way that facility is run. It is not a safe environment for children to be in. I know it's not the luxury child care center but for what we parents pay, this is unacceptable. FIX IT!

Kim Attitude 2014-03-27 18:02:42

This is not a ChildCare that i would recommend for anyone's children. My experience was terrible; the Director KIM was VERY NEGATIVE and DISREPECTFUL to me and my family from day ONE. I thought maybe she was just having an off day. As time went on(few days) she then showed us that that is who and waht she is about. She does not do her job; she is too busy on personal phone calls with her own child in her hand thru out the day. i would know because i would get off periodically throughout the work day. My daughter's hair was snatched out from the roots from another child as she was sitting down playing. The staff NEVER informed me.My daughter told me and pointed out to me the same day i picked her up. I notified staff and staff did NOTHING but blame the incident on my daughter(4yr old). PRIOR to that incident KIM notified me that she was going to suspend my son (12 month old with 2 bottom teeth) for biting. So i aksed KIM for video footage because th/is was not normal behavior for him. She refused to let me look at footage; when whenever i FIRST enrolled them i was notified i could have access to the video tapes that are in the rooms. So i found that really odd. I then notified the person over KIM and he was notified of the concerns and problems, i also notified him that when i picked my daughter up from daycare one day earlier that week. i had walked in on a caregiver giving a child light swats to her bottom screaming at her and other children to sit down. KIM again was notified the day i witnessed this and she responded with a laugh " OH SHE IS JUST A BREAKER AND NOT THE TEACHER" again EVEN NOTIFYING the top boss over this they deny any of the accusaions and claim they never saw anything on the tapes and refused to let me watch, when i was initially told i have access to them. DO NOT send your children here. KIM will only run you off with her stink attitude and accuse your children of taking up the caregivers time when there are other children around; while she holds her own child and minds her business on personal phone calls.
