Description: Austin One Stop Head Start Center (A-1) is a Licensed Center - Child Care Program in McAllen TX, with a maximum capacity of 176 children. This child care center helps with children in the age range of Pre-Kindergarten, School. The provider also participates in a subsidized child care program.
I miss educators who taught my child at this head start program my child was learning at a great rate staff were very attentive to each child on a individual basis to give students perfect education and understanding to the pace of the childs needs not overwhelming nor leaving any child behind !
The whole reason for placing my child in head start is to be able to provide him with a head start once he attends public school. This particular head start, i feel in my opinion, is not providing him the skills to succeed. Not once have they sent home work that they are supposed to be doing in school to show me his progress. He doesn't know his shapes or colors or numbers. Now they want the parents to teach them how to write their names in class every morning....i thought that was the teachers job?? So really why is my son here?? I think best just to find a really good daycare that will teach my son because here all he has learned is to say cochino...
