My family and I love April’s Daycare. We have been with her since my daughter was 8 weeks old, she is now 4. April has been a great asset to my family! My daughter wants to see her even on the weekends. There have been times where I was running late, and April watched my daughter until I was able to make it. She makes delicious meals and throws birthday parties for each child’s birthday! I couldn’t have found a better caregiver for my baby while I am at work.
Extremely unreliable + unprofessional daycare. I have other children and have experienced in-home daycares and childcare centers alike. I can ensure that I have never experienced such immature business practices while my youngest daughter (4 months old) was in April's Daycare. I can appreciate that all people, even those running a business have personal struggles- but please be aware that if you have your children in April's Daycare that you will most likely experience an abundance of "fewer than 5 hours notice call-outs" (we experienced 8 in a span of 4 weeks) all by texts sent to you at 3am because of the aforementioned.
With the rising cost of childcare and if you have any type of full-time job to be able to support your family- you could be at risk of losing that job if you decide to use April's Daycare because you will need to use all of your PTO and/or consequently also call out or scramble and pay others even more money to watch your child/ren AFTER you have already paid April's Daycare. And if you bring up any insufficiencies of the business practice relating to the unreliability, they will make you feel like you are in the wrong because you signed a contract and anything they say they will do (but don't follow through on) is out purely out of their own kindness. So please just beware that you could be out of money, out of your job, or worse.
I do give it 1 star because even through all of the experiences noted above- I do honestly believe that the handful of days my child actually was in April's Daycare, she received genuine care. Hopefully, this business can take a turn for the better as it seemed to have good reviews years ago.
