Description: The Mission of the Pre-Kindergarten Academy (Pre-K) is to provide quality state funded preschool services that are culturally and developmentally appropriate. Additionally, the program strives to be a central and primary resource for children, families, and the community. We do this by providing each child with a secure environment and program that supports the growth of the child’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through appropriate practices. The program believes that all children can achieve optimal physical and cognitive growth with the guidance and support of qualified staff members who understand the importance of a developmentally appropriate environment that encourages children to explore, discover and create according to their individual uniqueness. The program also recognizes the parent as the child’s first teacher and supports the cultural values of each family by providing a non-biased curriculum. We encourage all parents to join a partnership with the child’s teacher towards serving the needs of the whole child.
