The purpose of the Alamance Presbyterian Child Development Center is to provide care and development for each child enrolled to his or her greatest potential spiritually, mentally, physically, emotionally, socially. This is accomplished by providing learning and developmental experiences consistent with Christian principles.

Operator has not scheduled and obtained a fire inspection within 12 months of the previous inspection. Operator did not submit the original approved report to DCDEE within one week of the inspection visit on a form provided by the Division. The last fire inspection was completed on 1/19/23.

Human milk, formula and other bottled beverages including sippy cups, sent from child's home were not fully prepared, dated, and labeled for the appropriate child. There were several bottles in the refrigerator that were not dated.

Outdoor play area was not enclosed by fence with a minimum height of 4 feet. The top of the fence, less than six feet, was not free from protrusions. There were multiple areas where the fence height on all 3 playgrounds was not the minimum of 4 feet high, and there were multiple areas where the fence had protrusions on the top and sides of the fence.

A copy of the safe sleep policy was not given to and/or explained to the parent of each child on or before the first day the infant attended the center. The safe sleep policy was not completed for 2 infant's files, as listed on the children's records form.

Staff did not model appropriate eating behaviors by consuming food or beverages that meet the nutritional requirements specified in the Meal Patterns for Children in Child Care Programs in the presence of children in care. In the classroom with 2 year olds, the teacher had a fast food coffee beverage drink that she was drinking on a shelf in the classroom.
