I had my children enrolled for only a month before I pulled them out. They were terrible to my 4 year old son. They complained about him constantly for absurd things such as touching a lizard for the greenery that hung in the hallways. When I confronted the teacher on the fact she’d made no effort to connect with my son, as I’d watched on their cameras, she was genuinely shocked I suggested playing with him, not just sitting in a chair and looking at the children. One day I logged on to the cameras to find she had given every child in the room, and herself, a popsicle except for my child, because he wasn’t listening on the playground. This is a DCF violation as you can not use food as a punishment. When I confronted the ast manager, sylvie, I was told “it wasn’t a treat, it was just for extra hydration” I’m not sure which is worse, admitting you used food as a punishment or admitting you purposely withheld “extra hydration” from a child. I’d also like to mention the parents had to supply these popsicles as part of the summer supply list. I immediately pulled my children that day. The daycare and staff are horrible. Expect your children to sit in centers all day long and be forbidden from touching staged areas that are strictly for show during tours.
I picked my daughter up one day to find all of her things packed up and a note saying she had been "immediately unenrolled".. apparently this was from an issue the owner had with me parking on the side of the building during drop off.. No discussion, no warnings, no prior incidents or issues at all.... She just expelled my kid one day out of the blue without even a conversation. I definitely got the feeling she needed an open spot in the classroom and picked someone to kick out. By far the worst daycare facility I have come across in my 7+ years as an early childhood education professional and my almost 5 years as a mother. The owner is obviously a very unhappy, angry individual and it shows through her demeanor, her faculty and even down to the sign she has hung on the front door aggressively "telling off" solicitors who dare come near. Yikes!
