I have used this provider for less than 6 months

Please take your children somewhere else. I enrolled my children less than 3 months ago and it has been nothing but problems. As a former daycare provider myself the things we have encountered are unforgivable and the management continues to turn a blind eye.

I am an employee

I worked at this establishment for around 2-3 months and I can honestly say this is a place nobody should leave their children at. Over the span of 3 months I saw things that were so disgusting to me I just had to leave, I couldn’t go against my morals and stay there. Some of the things I saw should honestly have this place shut down. 1.) cases of rsv broke out and during that time they finally decided the rooms should be cleaned (which they hadn’t done the whole almost two months of me being there) when I went to wipe down the toys in the 3-4 year old classroom, my bucket of water turned black within 15 minutes. 2.) In the same 3-4 year old classroom, I grabbed a baby wipe and threw it on the bathroom floor and used my foot to rub the floor. I didn’t even have to pick the wipe up to see that it was already dark black just from a few swipes on the floor. 3.) I watched two teachers (one male and one female) be rude to children, hit the children, and even had older schoolagers come up to me complaining about how the female teacher made them not feel safe there. The male teacher has even been a little suspicious with the children that made a few people uncomfortable. 4.) lastly, the day I quit I was working in the infant classroom and started to organize the supplies. When I looked at the bibs that were put in the classroom by the owner, I noticed some of them had black stops. After taking a closer look, I realized there was black mold on more than half of the bibs that the owner was trying to use for the 4 month old infant. All of this was brought to the owner ms.sues attention and she never once cared. I truly am utterly disgusted by her ignorance and neglect to her own daycare. For your children’s sake never take them to this daycare.

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

I went here from 2009-2014 when I was around 5-10 years old (I'm 16 now)...I made a lot of friends here[they were not very good influences mind you but I suppose you cant blame the day care for that lol] however here are a few of the things I observed while attending this establishment:
1. immature, petty, aggressive, and rude, gossipy "teachers" (tbh they were typically inexperienced 18-28 year olds)
2. there were a few older "teachers" (1 in particular...I'll just call her Mrs.V...);) was very rude to the majority of the kids but there where a few she was super nice to so that was a little odd, seeing her go from yelling at a kid for asking for my syrup and his waffles, to playing with a little girls hair while complementing her...(in case you're wondering I was NOT one of the kids she was nice to)...also sometimes when she would bring our cups of milk out she would accidentally dip her whole finger in the milk.
3. We called the owners Mes.Sue and Mr.B, they were nice we rarely every saw them though....then there was Mrs.Paula, idk if she still works there or not but she was nice for the most part, but was very shady sometimes
4. okay THEN there was Paula's daughter Chrissy I think was her name, who I don't think worked there but she came to help every once in a while and WOOOHH SHE WAS SOO MEAN...Paula's granddaughter, who was a few years older than me, also attended the school as a student...and let me tell you..SHE WAS TREATED VERY SPECIALLY...I MEAN IT FELT LIKE SHE WAS ROYALTY OR SOMETHING!!!
5. so yeah there was DEFINITELY some favoritism lol(that's an understatement), not try to bash the girl bc obviously she was a child but, she was basically free to treat all the other kids like trash, she did bully kids(I was kinda friends with her at some point and tbh I took on that Mean Girls Esq persona as well...and I'm not proud of it either so I can only assume she isn't either) ...HOWEVER LOOKING BACK ON IT, IT WAS COMPLETELY RIDICULOUS THAT NOT A SINGLE ADULT STEPED IN TO TELL HER TO STOP BULLYING, EVEN WHEN THE KIDS TOLD RHE TEACHERS THEY WERE BEING BULLIED...I on the other hand did get punishment for being a brat, I deserved it, because I didn't have the protective shield oh my relatives managingthe establishment, not only did I have consequences but I was also ridiculed by Chrissy, as a 8 year old child, for not being a GOOD EXAMPLE DOE HER DAUGHTER, and she told me that I DIDN'T DESERVE TO BE FREE WITH HER BC I WAS BAD, (her daughter was the one who influenced me to bc a "real life Mean Girl" bc I looked up to her and bc I wanted to fit in....I regret the things I did and they way I made other kids feel so if anyone who thinks they might kno me, I'M SORRY!
6. There were several teachers that did not like me for some reason and they would discipline me without giving me an explanation of what I did wrong.
7. There is so much more stuff but it's 5 a.m. so I'm go to sleep
.
... 1 last thing lol shout our to Miss.Sarah who got fired bc she FORCED ME, A 5 YEAR OLD to give my shoe to another kid bc shes wore sandals on the day of a field trip which wasnt allowed.
....OH YEAH THE FEILD TRIPS WERE COOL THO LMAO

DO NOT ENROLL HERE I highly suggest you don’t take your child here. My child had an allergic reaction to antibiotics and his medicine was in the bag. He wasn’t given his meds as I instructed in the morning of his drop off. when picking him up he had a few hives. I was told he just started breaking out but was not given his medicine. How come he had a swollen eye and bumps on his legs that means he had broke out maybe about 30 min before I arrived. Result we ended up in the ER due to a full fledged breakout! This is a life threatening situation and it is unacceptable.

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

My oldest daughter went to KKLC when she was little and learned so much. By the time she went into kindergarten she was reading basic sight words more than dpisd tested her on and was speaking spanish slightly. My daughter is now a sophmore in highschool and went to KKLC from the age of 2 to 11. My youngest daughter has been at KKLC since she was 6 weeks old and is now 5 and about to go in to kindergarten. From the things she has learned in pre- at KKLC she is over what dpisd tested her on to go into kinder and is going to partake in dual language. Yes there has been a few new teachers and some teachers go, but in reality they were putting themselves through college while working at KKLC. People will always have their own opinions about everthing and people will base their choices on the reviews they read but first off dont judge a book by its cover, go in and meet the directer and the staff, unlike some places that you are just a number or money walking in, KKLC takes time to talk to you and to get to know you and your child and will always be there because they treat everyone like family. I will not take my children anywhere else as this is the best place i have found. I worked for a corporate childcare center and being in the office all that was ever talked about was money and you had to enroll this many kids by this day or you didnt get a bonus at the end of the month. KKLc is not like that, they care about the parent and the child. Take the time to go in and tour the school and not just base it off of what you read, people can write whatever they want to online, seeing is believing ! KKLC is the best place for children to grow and learn.

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

Today we removed our girl from Kids Kountry with no alternative. That is how frustrated we are with these people. We have had issues with sanitation, exagerrated claims of illness to find, when we arrive, that the place is understaffed or closing early! I picked up my child during lunch recently to observe a teacher using a single wet washcloth to wipe multiple babie's mouths. We have been lied to and caught the director in lies trying to cover for thier mistakes like feeding our infant solid foods before we had authorized it. We have had problems with diaper rashes We never knew who was caring for our child due to a constant changing of staff, which is another indication of mismanagement. We have been overbilled and will have to provide bank statements to show the error in their accounting. We just cannot trust them with our child another day!

I have never seen a daycare go though so may teachers. march until present in ONE room (infant room) has been 5 different teachers as soon as one teacher gets "trained" they leave. I have also walked in in the afternoon to pick up my kid and the babies are asleep on the FLOOR because they clean the beds early so they don't have to stay after to clean. I would conceder a different place.

I have not ever had a problem at the center. How many childcare centers has your child been to since birth or has the child been with a private sitter? A childcare center is a group environment, not one on one care. If one on one care is needed there are nanny services available. I had my little one in another center. They were marking the diapers were changed and they were being used, but on other children.

There are no perfect centers, and what you are asking requires one on one care.

Not to be rude, if no one can meet your needs then you need to stay home and take care of your child. No one will ever meet your expectations.

The best advise I can offer a parent looking for a daycare for their child, is DO NOT enroll them here!! I searched for a day care I felt comfortable leaving my child at for weeks. I read the reviews for this place but decided to check them out and judge for myself. They made me feel so comfortable and assured me my child would be cared for properly. At first I didn't notice any serious problems, but then he started getting diaper rash toward the middle/end of every week after being in day care a few days. I asked the teacher to please change him every hour. The next week his daily log showed he was only changed 4 times in the ELEVEN HOURS he was in their care. The next morning, I spoke with the teacher about it and she blamed the other teacher, then I called the director who assured me she would personally make sure he was changed 8 times a day (still not the every hour I requested, but it was reasonable). One week later, we had the exact same problem, he was changed 4 times in the eleven hours he was there... Again!! On top of that one of the times they stated they changed him was during the time they also stated he was sleeping! I got called at least once a week to pick my son up early because he had diaper rash, which was a result of them continuing to let him sit in wet diapers for hours The "teachers"constantly made comments in front of parents like "I wish these kids would just behave today" kids meaning infants, who don't know what misbehaving is or "oh you again" when they would see my son being dropped off". I was told "we didn't even know he could sit up" or "we didn't even notice he was here until around noon" (I dropped him off at 6am every morning) which can only mean, they paid no attention to my child or what was going on. Every day I picked him up he was filthy with food and snot all over his face. I did not feel like my child was being cared for properly here. This day care needs to be shut down immediately or taken over by someone who actually cares about how the children are cared for!
