Description: Imagination Zone (I-Zone) is an after-school care program at the KISD campuses of Delaney Elementary and Patterson Elementary. The program is held at the school facility, so your child is never transported by bus or van - they never leave the school grounds! I-Zone is also staffed solely by employees of Kennedale ISD, giving you confidence in the quality and security of our staff members. I-Zone is open each school day from dismissal until 6pm. Each day offers a snack, the opportunity to do homework, play time on the playground or in the gym, and a planned activity. We are open on early dismissal days, but not on school holidays or incliment weather days.
Where possible, ChildcareCenter provides inspection reports as a service to families. This information is deemed reliable, but is not guaranteed. We encourage families to contact the daycare provider directly with any questions or concerns, as the provider may have already addressed some or all issues. Normally I would give a much better rating but there is one major problem that has occurred numerous times this school year and I'm sick of it. This week alone my son, who is autistic, has been brought out to me with a poopy pull up. So bad it's coming out the back of it and going up his back, getting on his clothes. The other thing is, I don't know how long he's been that way. It's very frustrating as a parent knowing my child is being neglected in this fashion. I have said something before to the people bringing him out, so has his teacher. I've heard different excuses, such as we don't change pull ups, we can't smell him through the masks, kids must be potty trained, they're uncomfortable checking/changing him and so on and so forth. I understand if there is a rule about having to be potty trained, but wouldn't that be considered non-inclusive instead of all inclusive?? Also he's a special needs child, you would figure there would be some kind of accommodation for that, instead of just letting him sit in his own filth until he gets picked up. Also according to this website it says Izone is staffed by kennedale ISD employees, if his teachers can change him, why can't the other kennedale ISD employees who work Izone?? Makes no sense to me. My son is getting help with potty training not it at home but at school, it's a work in progress. He shouldn't be mistreated and neglected for not being fully potty trained yet. It's not right and not fair to him. I shouldn't be paying $75 a week for this, nobody should.
