They Didn’t hardly ever take my kids to the restroom or change their pull up. My kids were treated like crap here. They almost always came home upset.
If less that 1 star was possible I would have posted that...this all happened September 2016.
So it has taken me a while to say anything because I wanted to trust in the system and hope the state would do their job, but that has not happened yet...so here goes..
Right when school started I get a call from my husband, he proceeds to tell me that someone flagged him down while he was taking our daughter to school, it was a girl that used to work at End of the Rainbow daycare in Quinlan. She flagged him down to ask him if we knew what had been happening to our daughter at daycare, well she proceeds to tell him that the OWNERS daughter kicked our daughter in the stomach, yes she KICKED my baby in the stomach while she was laying down trying to nap.
Now before I continue let me give you some background on our girl, she is not "normal" most people don't know, especially just by looking at her that she has a disability, she has a mild form of a rare syndrome called "Cornelia DeLange Syndrome." It can affect children in various ways, but it has affected her development and behavior. She was severely delayed developmentally, she really didn't start talking until the age of 3,and that was maybe less than 10 words, and even now she has made tremendous strides, and is speaking so much more and even in small sentences but some of it still isn't clear and she has trouble expressing herself.
Also, she has behavorial issues, she has ZERO impulse control, she will run into a busy street without thinking, she will run away from us in a crowd and wont stop for anything, she get's into everything, and I know what you are thinking she is 5, that's normal, no it isn't, imagine a 5 year old times a thousand, on steroids, and that still doesn't give you the full affect of a day in the life of Berk. Now I tell you all of this because when we chose End of the Rainbow, I went in and talked to the director, expressed my concerns, and let them know it was hard for us to just send her anywhere, and that we were putting our trust in them. They KNEW she was different, they KNEW she couldn't communicate things to us like other kids, they KNEW they could so stuff and get away with it because she wouldn't know to tell us, hey they hurt me.
Now besides the kicking, we also learned about another teacher who was taking it upon herself to use pressure point compliance on our daughter to get her to listen, if you don't know what that is, you can google it. It most definitely works and it does hurt, Clay is actually a certified instructor for PPCT because it is a technique used in law enforcement to get subjects to comply, but this teacher thought it was okay to use on my 5 year old. That is not all, this same teacher would make Berklie lay on her nap mat, cover herself completely, HEAD AND ALL, and stand on the corners of the blanket so our daughter couldn't move.
You can imagine how infuriated we were, there were so many emotions. We did go by the daycare and they really didn't have any type of explanation for us, the did say the state was called, there was an investigation, yet NO ONE from the daycare bothered to call us and tell us of any such incidents, the owner and director both neglected to call us and tell us that there was an open investigation where a state representative could've questioned my disabled daughter without our knowledge.
Now I know some of you might be thinking, wow this can't be true, that ex-employee has to be disgruntled, well here is the kicker, this all happened 2 1/2 weeks before this girl told us, and she had already been by the other daycare in Quinlan trying to get her kids move out of End of the Rainbow because she witnessed these events and is the one who called them into the state, so why would she wait almost 3 weeks before telling us if she was disgruntled? She had no reason to lie to us, and the daycare DIRECTOR admitted to us that the owners daughter said "I nudged her, I was standing up and was too lazy to bend down to stop her from doing whatever she was doing, so I nudged her." Okay so you KICKED her.
We did talk to the state rep who is in charge of the investigation and he questioned kids and a little boy did tell him that he saw the owners daughter kick our daughter, so we have multiple witnesses who stories match but yet nothing has been done, this employee still works there, and the state has not called us back, I am choosing to share this story now so people do not take their kids to END OF THE RAINBOW IN QUINLAN TEXAS, I want this place shut down! The state rep also told us they have been called sooo many times on that daycare and one of these times they will be caught.
Share this story, don't take your kids here, and if they are here pull them out, they are all liars and don't deserve to take care of our children!
