The manager Terri Klein was witholding information about an employee having COVID. Half of the staff members got COVID and the manager still made them work with the children. Now a baby got COVID and no telling how many more children. Also The manager Terry is always yelling loud in the babies faces when they cry and scares them half to death. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE FROM LEAVING THEIR CHILDREN HERE. They are not treated right.
Id like to start off by saying that a review can go a long way. If I would have read everything I have been reading I wouldn't have put my daughter in this daycare. Just because I know that reviews mean a lot & for someone top sit down and express their concerns for their children explains enough about a place. There are cameras, do not let that lure you in, because they are not even that great they have like a couple seconds delay so its really slow. My baby girl has been attending here for a month now & at first it was okay. I don't have all the money in the world but I feel like this day care is pricey for the amount of stuff I have to deal with. My daughter is currently enrolled and I am looking for another daycare because I am not satisfied with the services. I pick up my daughter and her diaper is either full, shes pooped or her clothes are wet. Her nose is always dirty and crusty as if they don't take the time to wipe it. & one thing that really bothered me besides my daughter not getting the attention she deserves is the director. She is very rude. I received an incident report two days later. I told her why doesn't she ever call me when there's an incident and right away she got rude and disrespectful saying how by law they are not obligated to call me. I understand that and I told her I would still like to know or receive a phone call so that i can check on her. She is going to have the audacity to tell me that I didn't even noticed that the kid had bit her & that if they never would've gave me the incident report I never wouldn't even have known. Who says that type of stuff to a parent, that's not what we want to hear from a facility that we trust to watch our children. Its just kind of ridiculous how they let people like that run a business. The next thing is their billing lately they have been having problems with their billing and they tried over charging me. I'm just very annoyed with the whole situation I stress at work and it is not for me to pick up my daughter and stress about the fact that something is going to happen to her or shes not getting the care she needs. If you trust a good mother's words do not put your child here.
Yesterday when I was cleaning my room, the Owner/Director Terri pulled all the kids out of the rooms into the hallway till all their parents got them. Well, Sofia attends Apple tree as well. When Sofia saw me working she was crying wanting to come with me. She was sitting next to the owner crying for me. When Terri got frustrated and grabbed my daughter by the upper forearm and pulled her into her office. As a a parent, I don't handle my daughter that way and it's not okay for someone else to do that to a kid that's not theirs.
My child was only there for a short time before I took him out of there. The workers in the 1-2 year old room always looked like they had just rolled out of bed. They were unfriendly and unwelcoming to myself and my child. He cried constantly, which is not normal for him. The owner,Nelda, was unprofessional and confrontational anytime I questioned anything regarding my child's care while he was there. I am a responsible parent and was well aware of the fees of pulling my child out, so when I called to inform her why I was no longer going to take my child, instead of apologizing and try to understand my concerns, she quickly reminded I owed her for 2weeks anyway or she would send me to collections. Low class, atrocious business owner,especially when one entrusts their most prized possessions in this world.
My child was sent home with scratches and never had his nose wiped developed a diaper rash from never having his diaper changed there!!!!
I would not recommend this place!!!!
I do not recommend this day care at all. My daughter attended for a year, I had a wonderful infant room teacher, who went above and beyond and gave exceptional care. When my daughter was changed to the next room, (toddler room), I quickly came to realize that I did not have a good daycare, I had gotten lucky with a good teacher. The minimum level of care is not the same throughout daycare class rooms.
My daughter would come home with a reddened bottom from not being changed. When I brought it to her teachers attention, her response was ‘oh yea, she was pretty red huh” Her soiled clothes/bibs/etc had been previously placed in a plastic bag at the end of the day were now stuffed in any given pocket of her diaper bag unbeknownst to me, and when found was completely covered in mold.
Her bottles were not sent home with her at the end of the day and at times other kid’s belongings and bottles would end up in her bag. The teacher did not communicate effectively; she would wait until my daughter was completely out of diapers/formula/food/wipes/diaper creams before telling me she needed more, which lead to my daughter having to wear diapers from another child that did not fit her. During transitioning from bottle to sippy, I had to ask the teacher to help me introduce the sippy, as I was trying to do at home, over a 3 day period before she complied. After which she started to become rude and even more unhelpful towards me. She would not say good morning/hello or any other type of greeting or acknowledgement to me or my daughter when I dropped her off.
I went to the owner/director to report everything and as I began to tell her about the moldy bib incident, she cut me off and began to chastise me, she was rude, unapologetic, and defensive and would not take any accountability for her staffs actions. She spoke over me and it was clear she wasn’t listening. I never got to the rest of my complaints, that day I decided to put in our notice that my daughter would not attend anymore.
The final straw was that evening when I picked up my daughter all of her bottles were unused. I had spoken to her teacher that morning that my daughter had done well with the sippy over the weekend but still had trouble at times, so I had included her bottles and formula just in case. Neither the owner nor teacher could tell me how much she had eaten over a 10 hour period on that she had some milk and juice from the sippy. I do not recommend this daycare to anyone.
