We are a quality education center located in Golden, Colorado. 5280 Early Childhood Education Center is privately owned and is licensed by the State of Colorado. We educate and care for children ages 6 weeks through 5 years. The center was designed from a parents’ and teachers’ perspective: we serve wholesome foods (made on site, natural ingredients fresh or frozen, minimal processed or canned foods), a community feel (we strive to be a contributing member of the greater Golden, Colorado area and beyond, and an extension of your home), low teacher: student ratios, and we strive to be great role models to our students through environmental education, healthy choices, exploring science, math, reading, social and cultural awareness, and good old fashion play. Teaching ratios are a great indicator of the quality of a program, and we believe that our students deserve more one-on-one attention from their teachers. Our classrooms are staffed with highly qualified teachers who are trained in CPR and First Aid, educated, and have experience with young children.
5280 Early Childhood Education Center focuses on the development of a child as a whole person from 6 weeks through 5 years of age. We believe that young children acquire knowledge through active participation in the world: building, playing, talking, listening, painting, running, reading, measuring, and many more experiences. We believe that children are exceptional individuals who gain knowledge through their surroundings in various ways. 5280 Early Childhood Education Center (with the help of parents, teachers, administration, and research) will provide an atmosphere that delivers a positive learning experience. We strive to offer an setting that will provide an extension of the home environment, and an atmosphere that is diverse in math, science, reading, writing, geography, music, arts, social and cultural acceptance, environmental stewardship, nutritional and health knowledge, and independence.

This is an amazing new school/daycare in Golden. When looking into it, there were so many additional benefits, we were afraid it would be out of our price range. Then we were happily surprised to find out it is comparable to anything in the area. Our son loves it and we really like that they keep us updated with emails and photos. It helps you feel more involved with your kids even when you have to be at work all day. They care about keeping the kids healthy with outdoor play and concentrate on more whole foods than the pre-prepared stuff. He is learning a lot and having so much fun. We are happy with their teacher/child ratios. It has a clean, calm, organized, friendly, family atmosphere.
I have searched for months for a real "quality" child care program in Golden. I have finally found one. This school has it all: curriculums, low ratios, healthy foods, calm friendly atmosphere, clean, strider bikes!
This school is amazing and everything that I have witnessed from the teachers, the parents, the owner and the surroundings have been wonderful!
