Beyond Hurt- A Parents nightmare
I have been taking my son to Z1Z2 Learning Center as a dropin 3 days a week 8:40-5:30pm since Feb. 2021. Crystal the owner seemed like a very nice caring lady always smiling.
I trusted her and staff with my 3 year old and believed that he was learning and being well taken care of. My son can talk but chooses not to talk much. Since attending the learning center and being around other kids my son was speaking a little more than before. But he is still not holding a conversation.
I always wondered why my son's picture was not on the wall with rest of the kids. I ignored it assuming that it was probably because he didn't attend 5 days a week. I would normally pick my son up after 4:45 but before 5:30pm and I wouldn't see many kids at that time I would assumed the kids went home early and my son would be in the infant room. Usually Crystal will say things like he is doing so well here and say what he learned and I would respond with yes he is and thank her. Today I chose to show up at 3pm. In one room I see a lot of kids learning colors, shapes and flash cards on the table being taught by Crystal. I was impressed looking for my son ...but I did not see him. One of the workers summons me to her room and went out her way to show me that my son was sitting down with infants who can't talk and some who couldn't walk listening to a lulaby tune on the floor. I looked again across to the other room and I see kids my son's height and age learning. My son is well behaved in a classroom setting so there is absolutely no reason that he had to be separated from the other kids. This hurt me to the core and I became shell shocked to see that my son was being treated like this. My son is turning 4 and knows his colors, numbers and letters and shapes and this was self taught before he attended there. I really wanted my child to talk more and that's why I enrolled him. I will not be taking my child back since he is kept in a babies room not learning or talking.
Seen the daycare van driving 60-70 down Aldine Westfield while txting and driving, gave a courtesy call and evidently it was the person driving because she was nonchalant and did not care just said “okay” .
