Description: YMCA early childhood care builds on children’s natural desire to learn new things and become more self-reliant. Getting along with other children, sharing, taking turns and working in a group are a natural part of playing games or learning a new craft. Rest easy in knowing that Early Childhood Centers at the YMCA of Greater St. Louis are licensed by the State of Missouri and all child care staff members receive extensive training through the national YMCA as well as local Y. YMCA Early Childhood Education Center provides full day child care services that provide opportunities and experiences which stimulate a child's physical, social, intellectual, and emotional development. Programs are licensed and follow a constructivism philosophy with open-ended art activities, science, fine and gross motor skills and hands-on discovery in an enriching environment.
Where possible, ChildcareCenter provides inspection reports as a service to families. This information is deemed reliable, but is not guaranteed. We encourage families to contact the daycare provider directly with any questions or concerns, as the provider may have already addressed some or all issues. Reports can also be verified with your local daycare licensing office.

This place is great. We've had our son there for over a year, and the staff is friendly and excellent. They take pride in their work, and the classrooms for the youngest kids still remember our son and always say hello and play with him when they see him. I recommend them highly.
I would rate this zero stars if it was an option. I was affiliated with this organization in multiple ways for 15 years, and have seen many issues that were poor and unfairly handled. I will discuss the following one: I have 2 children that were enrolled in the daycare. My toddler was suddenly and unjustly expelled from the center for very poor reasons, which could have, and should have, been handled easily by the staff had they not been inept. The incidents that occured involving my child are very common and age appropriate for that age group, yet the staff took no responsibility for any of it, and as a result a one year old child was laid blame and kicked out. The staff at the Minier Center, as well as the directorship of the entire Branch, completely handle the situation unfairly and without any regard for following their own published protocols and rules. I would not trust this center or it's staff.
