Description: White Rose Academy was founded in 2003 by owner/director Sandra Hulme. Sandra fondly recalls her own childhood where she lived in a neighborhood of caring adults, who were concerned about every child’s safety and well being. She was allowed the freedom to explore and discover – and safely make mistakes. As she interacted with the neighborhood children, she learned about relationships, responsibility, and accomplishments.
Sandra’s vision is to recreate this atmosphere for all of our children and their families; a place of joy and laughter and learning, where people have real connections with each other in a community where we feel safe and have a sense of belonging.
Sandra’s childhood was spent in Yorkshire, the White Rose County of England. Our school is named after this place as a mark of appreciation of that time.
Sandra has a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education and Child Psychology, a Masters of Education in Early Childhood Education and is currently enrolled in the PhD program in Early Childhood Education at Oakland University.
White Rose Academy provides children with a creative and educational experience, from live interactive music through science and dramatic play to in-depth projects. Science, math, problem solving, logical thinking and writing skills are embedded throughout the curriculum. Important social skills and considerate manners are reinforced by the respect and guidance given by our teachers.

What words come to mind when I think about our brief time at this center? Abusive.... cruel.... morally bankrupt.... bullies. I could go on and on. They are terrible. My children were horrifically mistreated, and it is my hope they are shut down when the state completes their investigation.
