We strive to employ teachers who are not only capable and well-trained, but also can make parents and children feel at home.
I would like to address your concerns further, but we couldn’t find you in our previous parent database based on the information you provided. White Oak Learning Academy
Coming from a previous parent, it's taken a lot for me to write this review because I am not "that type" I had my kid/kids in White Oak (Dawson location) for a few years! The staff is outstanding, very welcoming and comforting! I felt great leaving my child there! As the months went on I was noticing things were a little off. The front always had teachers up there laughing and cutting up a few times they didn't even notice I was there standing at the door and another teacher had to let me in, that really bothers me when my child is in their care! As you walked through the school you could see some of the teachers just looked miserable (the ones who were always in the room working) and the selected few that were up front cutting up with the bosses. To me that upsets me, I am sending my child their to learn. Then to over hear teachers talking about the female DIRECTOR sleeping with a female teacher and nothing happening really just made me uncomfortable(as they are considered a Christian based facility)! A year went on and I have stayed friends with a family there and they told me about a teacher recently getting fired because she had a parent accuse her of sleeping with their spouse, very contradicting. The owner is fully aware of both situations and did nothing more to the director then a slap on the wrist and a push under the rug. There were times where I would walk in to pick up my kids and over hear several conversations between teachers that were not appropriate for a classroom setting. Another concern I had was during teacher appreciation week, the director served WINE to employees on the clock during working hours where they are responsible for our children. This is where I drew the line. Once again the owner of this facility did nothing about! This is not a place I would recommend to anyone looking for a childcare.
