There are new staff every 2-3 months. The ratio is never done by regulations. They have unqualified teachers running classrooms, and they only clean when it is necessary. They are all about the money and are very good about manipulation. They have had multiple child abuse alligations and many children pulled only to be filled with more kids, who are then pulled because of constant illness and complaints about mistreatment. There are worst places, but there are also better places. Ask the owner what happended to Ben Soehl, and or Kirsten Grossan. Best of luck, finding a childcare places. Unfortunally this place is not a good one,but they can put on a good show !

I am posting this as a mother. I do not work for, nor do I have any affiliations with Westbury Tender Loving Care Daycare -Nursery. I just have never found a daycare I love so much and trust my child in. This will be her 4th Daycare on Long Island and I am so thrilled to have her here. I would never have needed to change her had I found this place first. This is the only daycare/school I have never "second guessed".

The reason I'm posting is because I know how hard it is to find someone that is of quality and that you can trust to take care of your child. There is very little information out there and they (daycares) all claim to be the best and have the best programs. Obviously we all know that is not true.

Anyway, if you need someone in the Westbury area, check them out. They are right near the train station and are expanding in January. So, even though it may seem small, it's clean (immaculate is a better word), packed with love and brightly colored with lots of toys and educational items. The owner is fantastic as well as her assistants. My daughter doesn't put up a fuss in the morning when I drop her and most nights does not want to leave. She also hugs and kisses the teachers goodbye saying, "I love you" each night. That is something my daughter has NEVER done!!

In the last month she's learned more there than I thought she was able. (She just turned 3 a few weeks ago) She can count to twenty and recite her ABC's. She knows the days of the week and has learned to play so many different games that she teaches me. It is a pleasure to pick her up at night. They also have convenient pick-up/drop-off times. I am a single mom who works in the city and my daughter goes from 6:45 - 6:15. They only take 18 months through 5 years and they limit how many they have at a time so all kids get attention.

Also they are licensed by the state so they are subject to regular inspections, which to me was very important.

Westbury Tender Loving Nursery and Daycare has been family owned and operated since 2010. My name is Marianna Ferrantelli I am the owner and director of Westbury TLC. TLC has been a lifelong dream which became a reality due to the hard work and dedication of my family namely my father, Aldo Nicoletta. The values and morals instilled by him throughout my life are the basis for which TLC natures and support its families. I dedicate Westbury TLC to my dad in memory of a great man who always believed that family comes first. The care your child will receive by our experienced staff creates a positive and growing environment. The curriculum taught in our supportive learning atmosphere is based on the early childhood development programs utilized by the department of education of the City of New York. This prepares our students for the next stage of their scholastic career. Westbury TLC always has a small child to teacher ratio and always focuses on your child's needs first. The dedication and structure provided by TLC has shown through to many families proving that TLC is "Parents 1st choice in Quality Care".
