Description: At Terre Haute/Vigo County, we want to build a system for children to do well and be ready for school. Area day care centers educate and nurture children. And choosing appropriate childcare is one of the greatest challenges of being a working parent.
Where possible, ChildcareCenter provides inspection reports as a service to families. This information is deemed reliable, but is not guaranteed. We encourage families to contact the daycare provider directly with any questions or concerns, as the provider may have already addressed some or all issues. Reports can also be verified with your local daycare licensing office.

My husband and I had all three of our children attend this Child Care Center since 2006. The care is consistently excellent, and the staff are always professional. I cannot state more emphatically how good the Pre-K education is. All three of my children (in 2009, 2013 & 2018) entered Kindergarten testing at the very top of their classes. In fact, my youngest was able to read entering Kindergarten & knows almost all of sight words that are on the Kindergarten list to be learned this year. I'm more concerned now about him being bored because his pre-k teacher, Miss Ashley, almost taught him the full Kindergarten curriculum already. My younger two were very young going into Kindergarten as well with birthdays in the summer and just barely 5 when the school year began. Although this center is expensive, I do not regret a dime spent there. My children are doing wonderful academically and socially, and as my husband and I both have had demanding full time employment for the majority of the childhood of our children, we could not have asked for better child care partners. We know that a big part of the success of our children rests upon the shoulders of the staff and teachers at Union. I will forever be grateful to them and wish that all children had access to the quality pre-K that Union has consistently been providing its students for over a decade. It is not a "daycare"; it is a pre-K school.
