If I could choose ZERO stars, I would have.
Where do I begin....Ah, let's start with the abuse and then we'll get into the money.
We started going there in 2015, it seemed like a good fit. Close to the house, they worked with us on price, our daughter enjoyed going, etc. It wasn't until she was a year older and was moved into another room that we starting experiencing problems.
Miss Dolly. Miss Dolly was a massive problem. I didn't realize it at first, but she was picking on my kid and she was only 6ish so it was hard for her to communicate what was happening. She would come home a couple times a week talking about how mean Miss Dolly was and every time I'd talk to the owner, Sharon.
Sharon said she was talking to Miss Dolly, not to worry, etc. Well, as time passes and my daughter keeps telling me that this old woman (yeah, Miss Dolly was old as dirt) would take away her stuffed animal from nap time and wouldn't let her play with the other kids and one day I'd just HAD IT. It was enough. So I wrote Sharon a letter, put it in her metal money mailbox at the front entrance asking her to call me and I would explain us abruptly leaving and discuss my balance. That was 2018.
Never heard from her. Until the end of 2020 where my minor child was served papers from the courts. They filed a judgment under us for the balance plus their attorney fees. So this then became a discussion in our home which our daughter who had attended the daycare, overheard.
She began having PTSD. Shaking, crying, remembering what this old bag did to her. She said she used to pinch her arms with her long crusty nails, she would take her blanket away from her at naptime or give her the smallest one so her feet would stick out, and on and on and on.......our therapist told us just to pay it instead of going to court, otherwise she was just going to keep re-living this nightmare causing her more turmoil. So we paid it. $1,000.
We paid these people $1,000 to abuse my kid, 3 years later.
I hope the money was worth it. They must be pretty desperate. Sad.
