Just came across this site, and noticed this review. Would like to call this out as being a fake review, as we have had no parent by the name of Nick during the period described. Therefore this was likely from a competitor, or terminated employee. We at The Premier School take great pride in our service to our children and families under our care. We have received many childcare service awards for our program, and encourage anyone wishing to learn more about our program to check us out at www.thepremierschool.com
I have 2 kids currently attending this center, and have been since it opened. A 2 yearold and 5 yearold, and very satisfied with the care we have received. My 5 yearold started Kindergarten this year, and was one of the most advanced in her class, which I credit the staff of this center in helping her to be prepared. Love...love....love this center, and would highly recommend to other families in the Pickerington area.
My child has attended this daycare for 3 years and I am currently looking for new care. This is a center I would NEVER recommend to any parent. The staff consists of extremely young adults who have zero certifications or completed degrees to deal with young children. Half of the staff are either freshman in their degrees or have zero degree aspiration. The infant classes are often put in front of a small television to watch television shows or movies. More than once I have witnessed one teacher in charge of 20 + children who uses yelling at the children as a form of control. ( I am pretty sure that is against state regulation).Once my child transitioned into a new classroom the " teachers " never introduced themselves to myself or my child, or toured / explained the new room that my child would now spend every day in. I have many times picked my child up to find that after nap time the " teachers" have put my 3 year olds' shoes on the wrong feet. I have also found that the " teacher" in the preschool room would fill out the daily report sheets at the beginning of each day. She would mark " some" for every meal / snack regardless if my child had even been served that meal/ snack yet for each day. (The sheets could either be marked some, all, or none). The meals and snacks that are served with great confidence (touted on Facebook) are processed and over-sugared snacks with no nutritional value.) When I have approached teachers with my concerns I have been given various excuses and seemingly no concern for the issue at hand. I have also approached owners/ directors of this facility with my concerns who have also shown no real concern or change in the way this center is run. When I first started at the center, Mrs. Kristi, was an absolute delight. She is a wonderful asset to this center. She is the only employee I would ever trust to take care of my infant/child and the reason I have stayed so long at this center. I have seen no consistency/ communication/ education/ competence from any of the other staff that my child has come in contact with. The staff has an incredibly high turnover rate which is not good for children, nor makes you comfortable with the administrative decisions of the owners / directive staff. Overall, if you tour the facility be sure to check the bathrooms. In my personal opinion, I have found them to be held at a standard that I would consider to be less than what I would expect my child or any other child to receive from a childcare facility. The owner/ director are more concerned with decorating the facility than what is occurring with your child in their classroom.
