I have used this provider for more than 6 months
The teachers at Edison are typically very good. However, the director is extremely unprofessional and does not work well with parents. For the most part she does not know what goes on in her facilities but attempts to act like she does, therefore jumping to conclusions and treating people rudely. She also clearly has favorite children, which is sad when it's noticed by such young ones!
Most of the teachers were great and really cared about the kids. Kids get a great educational experience. The woman that owns and runs the center does not work well with parents, cares more about money then the kids, she is not flexible, and shares personal information about parents with the staff. If she stepped down I might recommend this school to another parent
Not the center for us or our child. He did great in the one year room, but they forced him to move to the two year old room before he was ready. This began a host of problems. Suddenly, he was running around the room too much and had to be restrained. That's right, they restrained my two year old because he was running around. Which is what two year old kids do. Then they came out and told me that he is autistic, and that he is hard of hearing. None of the staff have medical licenses, so this is way beyond their scope. When I told them his doctors said that he was fine, I was told to find another doctor. Finally, they told us that our son would be welcome there, but only IF his father and I agree to allow to label him as a problem child (meaning autistic or emotionally delayed), and since we do not agree with that, we take that as them breaking their contract with us. There is nothing wrong with our son, he is a normal two year old who may be too immature for the setting they had him in, but the staff at the Edison center was unwilling to change his circumstances there and put him in a room where he would thrive. Instead they just wanted to get him a TSS worker, and label him through his entire academic career as a problem child who cannot be controlled. I suggest the staff DO THEIR JOBS. Two year old kids run around - a lot. Its part of how they explore. I should also mention that this had been going on for months, but each time I dropped him off and my husband picked him up, nothing at all was said. We got a slip that said he was 'cheerful', and that was it. No mention of having to restrain him. I found out only because they sent a note home one day saying they could not meet his needs. And I'm sorry, but I work off-shift and cannot make all the parent teacher conferences they hold. This was also held against us, when we finally talked to them about our son being welcomed back. I simply cannot take time off four times a year to listen to them tell me my child is delayed in this and that, is autistic, (we've had him tested, remember), has ADHD (which I am sure is their next diagnosis since all he is doing is running around now), and needs a TSS worker (you cannot get one without an autism diagnosis and not at two years old anyway). I could go on and on, but I think I've said enough for you to get the gist.
