Description: The Childhood League Center's professional staff and Childhood League members partner with families and the community to ensure the optimal growth and development of more than 100 children with special needs, ages 12 months to 6 years. Total enrollment in the Center-based program is 141 children and includes typically developing peers. It is our goal to help children reach their full potential as they grow through infancy, toddler-hood and preschool years to successfully transition into kindergarten and first grade. A significant percentage of our children reach developmental goals that minimize or eliminate their need for ongoing intervention or special support. Many of our graduates and their families keep in touch long past their graduation from the Center, eager to share their achievements. Through the cooperative efforts of a professional staff and a network of volunteers and families, the Center provides an environment that fosters the growth of the whole child; encourages expression, exploration, and discovery; and nurtures feelings of confidence and self-worth. To honor the bright future and hopes all families have for their children with special needs, The Childhood League and the Center will ensure state-of-the-art programs and services for all children.
