I have used this provider for more than 6 months

Since this website won't allow me to edit my previous review, won't respond to any of my requests to have my review taken down, I am going to post my update review that is more specific and clear and also includes me taking out that the owner lied about emailing me as she finally did email me back.

First off, FYI, they had all of their staff write a 5 star review to make sure they had a good rating, that right there should tell you a lot. My son was enrolled there for almost 2 years but I had to make a decision to remove him pretty quickly this week due to their inability to properly watch and care for him. On multiple occasions in a 2 week period my son was left too long without a fresh diaper causing diaper rash. Then this week due to lack of supervision, another child managed to poop on the play ground and then my son had enough time to go and play in the poop. The next day my son was bit by another student so badly there's a small chunk of skin missing. I find out they never cleaned the wound and just put an ice pack on it! All I got was a "sorry". I was also informed by previous employees the Assistant Director and Director like to talk badly about parents behind their back but they will be as fake and nice to their face as can be. I use to think highly of this center until it went way downhill, the staff have become questionable, and the some of the teachers they have hired shouldn't be working with children due to bad judgement, bad attitudes, and work ethic.

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

I've joined TBE back in 2011, it was good until Jenna became director and good, qualified teachers left TBE. Teachers here nowadays are rude, and they are mostly on their phones, which shouldn't be allowed for the teachers. Too much chaos in the room nowadays, and this "school" is not what you call fun. And some of the teachers, they say things that might offend you a little. One time in 2012, this teacher named Sarah told me I was American, when I was Filipino, really. One of the girls in class would tell the teacher I kept saying I was Filipino, and instead of the teacher on my side, she went with the American thing. This place is a living hell, trust me.

The Blue Elephant is a great school. They exceed all expectations for a preschool. They are constantly going above and beyond and I know my children are being taken care of and loved at school! Thank you for doing an amazing job!

Spend the extra $$ for QUALITY care somewhere else. I've never felt compelled enough to write a negative review about any establishment, no matter how bad their service was, like I have about this place. Because it's that awful. The saying looks can be deceiving holds up perfectly here. Everything looks great at first and it was.. But it went downhill after Jenna was promoted to director. Talk about an unprofessional. She is an extremely rude director, constantly talking about employees and parents behind their backs along with the rest of the assistant directors or favorites that can be found in the front chattering while chaos ensues in the classrooms. A direct reflection of the leadership if I say so myself - and it's not a good one. Teachers use their phones as well, saw it a few times while walking out (once in the baby room and another in a different classroom). Families have left and so have all the good teachers. You are better off leaving your child with the crowd at a Jerry Springer show because this is the type of people that work here. Nordstrom appearance with Walmart type parts. Stay far away.

A Concerned Parent Aug 27, 2014

Our child started at TBE quite some time back. At first-we were so happy with the level of care and service our child received. Our child was happy and thriving. We were amazed with the amount they were learning. However, as time has progressed, the school has changed quite a bit, and it has not been a positive change. The amount of times I have heard gossiping at the front office, or have seen the office staff roll their eyes behind a parent’s back after speaking with them is shocking. The teachers are many times overwhelmed, and instead of being able to bring their concerns or needs to the front office-they are not supported, and time and time again-I have witnessed the staff being reprimanded for something small and inconsequential. For one example-I was picking up my child after work, and the owner and assistant director were in the classroom reprimanding the afternoon teacher for the mess left from snack (which had only just finished when I walked in). While they were having this “discussion” with the teacher-the children were left to sit on the rug without direction or supervision. First, it was very unprofessional to do this in front of a parent. And I was not the only parent in the room, there was also a lady picking up her little girl at the same time. Secondly, I do not want my child exposed to another teacher they are supposed to trust being reprimanded. There is a time and place for this action if it is warranted-and it was NOT in front of the children. Thirdly-we pay quite a bit of money to this institution for them to care for our child. Instead-they were busy handling a perceived issue with a teacher instead of caring for the children. And this does not happen to every teacher-there is a great show of favoritism that we have witnessed. The Video Cameras-yes they are helpful, and great-when your child is actually in a room that you have access to. However, in the mornings-any child that is preschool age or older may or may not be in their classroom until an hour or more after you drop them off. The same thing happens if you try to pick your child up after 5:30pm. You have no way of monitoring them. We have also noted many times when monitoring our child on camera-that there are some teachers that turn their backs on the kids, and focus on other tasks while the children are again, left without direction and proper supervision. This has been more of late since the child to teacher ratio has increased-as many teachers have quit due to what I assume is their working conditions. Our child has told us that the teacher told them that they would just need to cry when they were upset over something. Now, while I understand that sometimes children throw tantrums, and need redirection and sometimes even discipline-I do not want my child to think that if they are upset at any time-that they just need to get over it and cry on their own. I want our child to understand the difference between crying because they are truly upset and needing to speak to a grown up, and a tantrum. In other words-I want our child to feel like they can come to a grown up if they have a concern. They are people too, and do need to be heard-especially if something is wrong. The amount of times we have gone to pick up our child and noted that they were watching movies has greatly increased as well. This is supposed to be a learning environment-and instead-we feel like it has turned into more of a babysitting institution. In all-I would no longer recommend this school to any concerned parent.

Business practices are unprofessional and unethical. Upon providing 2-weeks notice, my camera access was removed and during that timeframe the director spoke directly to my son about a petty issue without first addressing with the teacher or myself. I had to hear about it from my 3-yr old. You are required to put a deposit which will not be fully applied upon leaving and they make it near impossible to use your earned vacation week. All qualified and experienced teachers quickly quit, the teachers left are not college graduates, uncertified and lack experience. The owner and director act immaturely and are non responsive when issues are raised. They put on a good front to get you enrolled but that's about all you will see from a customer service perspective.

Disappointed Sep 26, 2013

Management very unprofessional! Owner gossips about parents, children, and teachers to other parents. My child was there for 6 months in one room and had 5 different teachers! The curriculum was never thoroughly enforced. When I first enrolled my child I thought this place was too good to be true, and its because it was. I immediately withdrew my child. I sent them to Primrose School of Griffin Parc which is located right across the street and I fell in love my child has been with them for 1 & 1/2 years now!

Be aware, very unprofessional service. Lack of management and customer service skills. Office in the kitchen, right next to the cooking pot.
Owner should discipline the staf! I would never put my kids there.
