I have used this provider for more than 6 months
My daughter attended for the past year or so, entering into the infant/toddler room, exiting once she was placed into the preschool room with Miss Heather and Miss Justina. I recently was forced to withdraw my daughter and felt it necessary for other parents to be able to come here to read parents experiences with this center.
The most frustrating piece of using this center is the communication and feeling of constant need for hand holding to ensure any specific need, even basic, such as nose blowing or washing the childs face.I would come to find her nose packed with boogies, even after asking she be helped,(this allergy season kicked my childs butt). Food/dirt , why cant her fave be wiped?Every transition to a new room was as tho the teachers were in different worlds. Ur all in same little building and I never understood how each transition I had to start all over, explaining, requestimg please help her drink, please help her blow her nose, ect. I was told recently I ask so much they cant keep it all straight. You have my child 10 hours a day, wth do you mean? So,
She came home last week after 2 weeks worth of consistant behavioral changes and a week of accidents 3 of the 5 days, which, my child just doesn't do, to tell me our bathroom is for "white kids only". So, noow I need to find new care bc, who knows who said that to her, the director is all about her staff, which is nice but really, you exist for the kids. And no 2.9 yo gonna imagine this verbiage. I then discovered the staff was ok to continue using bedding that i was told was clean but recently discovered was actually peed all over. I was told her accident was during nap, but found her shoes soaked with urine. Inconsist.
My daughter, the week prior ended up with yeast infection from either being left to herself to clean herself or left in wet bottoms for too long. When i asked the center to assist in helping make sure she was clean. The following happened. When i came to pick her up, i was placing her in my car n miss heather came outside asking me to please let her potty my daughter. Something i never hd a teacher do there. I asked why n she said she hadnt pottied really n to let her. She didnt know if i lived far n wanted to let her go. I asked my daughter if she needed and she said no. Miss heather kept insisting n i finally left. When i got home, i found my daughters privates covered in slime. Covered. As tho she was not helped to wipe even once. She had also developed the habit of peeing n just pulling up her pants, no wiping.
There have been many instances where i was told 1 thing n found another. Liquids, yea, so my daughter was coming home with untouched or hardly drank bottles. She developed extremely dehydrated bowl movements that would cause her to bleed. I had to each day send emails to please help her to drink. Plwase encourage her etc. I had not known a care giver needed to b told to do this and the director backs her staff telling u how many kids they have to deal with.
Telling me her water was refilled when many many times, i am dumping out the yellow hued coconut water i send her with.
Overall, my daughter went happy n left happy. Miss Jenn, Miss Lexy n Miss Kylie were my daughters favorites. Byt, when ur child consistantly develops health or hygiene issues, is put in pullups not her size to wet her bedfing even after u supply them with the correct sized pullups, and lastly, have her afraid to use her own homes bathroom bc someone is telling her bathrooms r for "white kids only", i had to pull her, take time off work, n frantically search for a preschool opening this late in summer.
I hope this director starts thinking more of the child n less of her staff n figures out what n why this all happened to my child in her centers care. When searching for another provider, many told me they do not recommend or refer parents to this center due to the number of negative experiences parents have shared with them. I was really upset with myself for not listening to my insides n pulling my daughter more soon. Sorry Jessica but this was my experience.
