I have used this provider for less than 6 months

When I had my second child, I had to start looking around for daycare and was so anxious as I had never had to put my kids with someone I did not know before. I was referred to Deanna through a friend and was able to meet her and bring my kids over to see the home and set up prior to having to commit. My youngest was a super fussy baby and cried more often than not so I was extremely worried about someone having to watch her, especially starting at 12 weeks old! Deanna has been amazing with both of my children and every time I worried about my kids being too much, she let me know to not worry and that she had everything under control. She treats my children like her own and has always been respectful to me. My oldest also had a speech delay and just a few months of being at Deanna's and she has worked so much with him and he's talking like crazy. My kids are both so happy there, which makes me
a happy momma, and I would recommend her to anyone!

We as a family absolutely love this Daycare, her whole family is great to all my family. Whether it be drop offs or pick ups they are always super friendly when home.
Deannas house, yard etc is always extremely clean and organized. My children love going, enjoy the group of children there, and learn new things each week.
I would highly recommend her to anyone, she treats the kids like her own family. Its very structured, and she works with each family to help with their needs.

Deanna is awesome! She welcomed both of my children in as if they were her own and the love she has for them shows no doubt! My kids are always happy to go there and would love to stay if I’d let them. She is very understanding and patient with the needs of both my kids having health issues and does everything and more to keep them happy and healthy! I would recommend her to any of my friends and family and I hope for my kids to get to stay with her for many years!

Super satisfied 2018-03-30 13:47:27
I have used this provider for more than 6 months

Super Satisfied with Deanna and her Daycare, since we started my son is so happy. I had a bad experience at the center I was using so we were on the wait list for an infant/toddler spot here. I’m so glad we got in. My son is so happy when you mention going to Daycare, he loves all the things they do, loves the kids, and going outside with them. He ears so much more foods now and has so much more social skills, I love the way they work on so many things each day to keep so busy.

I would definitely recommend Deanna’s Daycare to anyone you needs Daycare.

I have used this provider for less than 6 months

As a first time mom, the thought of someone caring for my child for over 40 hours a week is extremely stressful. My son has been in Deanna’s care for almost two months now. Even before we began the first “real” week, she offered first thing for me to take time for myself and do a drop off for a few hours without paying. Although my son is only an infant and cannot speak for himself, I wholeheartedly trust in Deanna that she provides a stimulating and positive environment for him at such a young age and balances her responsibilities instead of just laying him in a bouncer all day. I have no doubt that she holds the same values as my husband and I on raising children to grow into respectable and responsible adults. Deanna has become a friend in my eyes . She always asks about my son’s current situation or even about my personal situation just to check in to make sure I’m ok especially with a lot of life changes I have experienced recently. She doesn’t have to go out of her way to do that, but she does and that is so comforting. She is open to all of my questions especially with me being a worried first time mom. Knowing she takes time off to see her adult children even if that means an earlier pickup time (which so far she has given at least a weeks’ notice and it was only requesting a half hour before her actual closing time once) warms my heart. She is human and deserves time for her family as well. From day one, Deanna made it very clear that the children come first; however, she would respond to any questions via text or call as soon as possible even after hours no matter what which is SO reassuring. She changes everyone’s diaper prior to being picked up by the parent. There have been many times where my son has gone potty on our drive to her in the morning and she always changes him. They are children and go to the bathroom unannounced sometimes, you can’t expect Deanna to know if your child will wet themselves on the ride home even if she JUST changed them! I look forward to seeing my son grow up in her care and know that he is in good hands. I know my son will not be coddled yet he will be loved and disciplined appropriately which is exactly what I want for my son.

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

I have had my children with Deanna for over a year. She keeps my younger child as well as my older child when school is out of session. We are a military family, so we move every few years and as a result we are left looking every few years for individuals to care for our child and trusting their care to them. In Deanna we found a family member. The thought of having to move our child from her care due to moving already makes me cry and it is 2 years away. She provides a loving and caring environment but also balances that with structure and firmness. My child has grown so much and as my child is in her care 40 hours a week a lot of the child she is growing into is due to her time spent there. Deanna provides age appropriate activities and lessons, as well as outside activities and nutritious meals. My daughter is excited to get hugs from a Deanna every morning and while she is excited to see Mom and Dad I know by her face how good of a day she had. Deanna has always notified me of any incidents with my child and has discussions intervention or time out if necessary and is always wanting to discuss my preferred methods and intervention.. she is always incorporating my wants and desires into the routine. Also as my child begins physical therapy for her foot Deanna is right there wanting to know progress and ways in which she can help. For the first time in my years as a parent, my oldest is 7, I can go to work and have no concerns over the well being, safety, and love of my child. I can go to work as guilt free as possible and know that she is in amazing hands and that is a feeling that a price can’t be put on. I had worked in facilities and knows that is not the environment I want my youngest child in and Deanna’s in home environment is absolutely perfect and welcoming and warm. If I could recommend her 1000 times over I would. She has become a member of our family because she cares so much for my children and our growth as a family. She is truly a blessing to us. She is amazing with the children and I could not ask for more.

Absolutely Love 2017-10-10 03:36:06
I have used this provider for more than 6 months

We absolutely love Deanna and her entire family, had multiple kids with her. Several family members have also gone to her over the last couple years, still have one that goes on days off school.
Her days are very structured, but yet still fun and always age appropriate.

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

If I can delete my previous review I would. She took care of my daughter since she was 4 months old until 18 months old. My daughter got bit 3 times by the same child in her care. She only had 4 kids at the most at a time so that tells you that she was doing other things around the house (or was on the phone) instead of watching my daughter. She had "legitimate" stories on how the bite marks happen and any other bruises my child had while in her care. Going back and looking at all the pictures she ever sent me of my daughter, she looks said and miserable in every single one of them. She did not do anything about the other child who bit my daughter b/c the parents said she did not do it at home. Who cares? why should my daughter suffer? When I would pick up my daughter, she would always be sad and could not wait to go home. She was also extremely quiet (my daughter is not quiet at all, very chatty) so it leads me to believe that she made her feel said and uncomfortable where my daughter could not be herself. She would always tell me "Oh I just changed her diaper" but when I would come home the diaper was soaked like it hasn't been changed in forever. She took a lot of time off and I never said NO to her when she had so many last min requests and in return she didn't treat my daughter with kindness and respect. She is always tired in the mornings or she was up all night the night before and it felt uncomfortable like you are being a bother. The care is affordable but in this case you really get what you pay for with this provider. I wish I would listen to my gut from the get go and took my daughter out of that place as fast as possible. Pay more but stay away from this place as far as you can. She is not doing this b/c she loves kids. I would not recommend her to anyone.

Second generation 2017-07-26 03:25:23
I have used this provider for more than 6 months

I had both my children in Deanna's care for years and my grandson is now in her care. She's extremely loving and caring, very patient loves children. Very accommodating to times we needed, and making arrangements around changes in scheduling. Very good with picky eaters too. My kids always loved playing outside in the nice weather and having picnics. She comes highly recommended.

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

Although she may have been in child care for some years, I believe she should retire. She did ok with my infant. I remember my daughter had a busted lip from something and she didn't contact me, which is required by law to contact the parent if anything happens to the child from the neck up. Almost every single morning I dropped my baby off, she was up all night from her dog being sick or she was sick or something! She took a lot of time off because her daughter was going to college and she had some family Medical issues which I understand. However, I had to still pay her for her time off and then find and pay for someone else to watch my kid which I think is BS. Last, I remember her complaining to me how one parent would go to Gurnee Mills Mall while she had her kid. But the parent was still paying her so who cares what she is doing.... you are still getting paid! On the other hand, it was ok for Deanna to take off early to go to a game and inconvenience the parents to take off early, figure out who will care for our kids, and she still got paid. I wouldn't recommend her at all.

My 3 kids were with Deanna starting at 9 weeks old. She always treated them with kindness and compassion and is willing to adapt to a families personal needs. She never tried cloth diapers but she was more than willing to try.
