Description: Stepping Stone Children's Center is a fully licensed day care provider, adhering to all state regulations and inspections. All of our staff are caring and qualified individuals. While not a state requirement, we do require all of our staff to be Red Cross certified in First Aid and CPR. For a complete list of the Stepping Stone policies, as given in the parent's handbook to newly registered families, please click the "Our Policies" heading. Stepping Stone Children's Center has been in business since 1983. It began as a single center located on Duke Street in downtown Stevensville. We moved to the old school house building in 1990. In 2004, we moved into the Chesapeake Bay Business Park. This is the main center, and is the central office for all of the centers. Over the years, Stepping Stone has expanded and now operates three additional centers -- at Kent Island Elementary School, Matapeake Elementary School and Grasonville Elementary School -- providing before and after school care.
Where possible, ChildcareCenter provides inspection reports as a service to families. This information is deemed reliable, but is not guaranteed. We encourage families to contact the daycare provider directly with any questions or concerns, as the provider may have already addressed some or all issues. Reports can also be verified with your local daycare licensing office.
