I have used this provider for more than 6 months

Stacey and her family were wonderful care takers for our two children. Stacey treated my children as if they were her own. I never had any concern for my children’s well being or safety, and my children were always happy to be with Stacey. Stacey also provided a welcome environment for my daughter’s speech tutor who needed to come once a week to help with her annunciation. I couldn’t have been happier with the child care provided.

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

We used Stacey's daycare for 3 years, beginning in 2016 for our infant daughter, and later on, our son. After interviewing several locations, Stacey's was an easy choice given the immediate comfort we felt when meeting with her for the first time. As a new mom starting a new school year as an elementary school teacher, I was a bundle of nerves. Stacey was wonderful at easing my fears and checking in with me regularly throughout the day, ensuring my comfort and updating me on my child's day. She is professional, attentive, considerate, and comforting. My daughter absolutely thrived at Stacey's. As she grew older, she enthusiastically reached for Stacey and showed excitement that indicated she truly loved arriving each day. My daughter stayed in Stacey's care until she began attending preschool at age 3. To this day, she often says she wishes she could go spend the day with Stacey.
When I was pregnant with my son, I knew without a doubt I wanted him to be in Stacey's care. She welcomed both of my children into her home as if they were her own, and her own family members were just as welcoming. I have had nothing but positive experiences in my 3 three years with her and would recommend her to anyone. Upon arrival or pickup daily, I only ever witnessed a loving, positive environment with happy, thriving children. My son was under her care from 3 months old until we relocated a year later. My children truly developed a special bond with her and we continue to keep in touch and visit regularly, despite moving away from the area. She created such a special environment that fostered close relationships. I continue to recommend her to my colleagues and friends who live in the South Windsor area for nurturing, reliable, safe childcare. I would choose her again in a heartbeat and think of her as family.

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

Home away from home! My husband and I have two children currently enrolled at Stacey’s (ages 6 and 4). We have been with her for over 2 years and she has been amazing to our children (and us)! She listens to our children’s ever-changing needs and wants and treats them as she would her own children. When we drop off our kids in the morning we leave there knowing they will be well taken care of and safe.
We are grateful to have found such a nurturing and reliable person to care for our kids while we are at work. I should also add that during this entire pandemic Stacey has gone above and beyond to keep our kids safe and happy! Her home is very clean, and the outdoor area is a fun and safe space for the kids to play.
We have nothing but great things to say about Stacey and her care! We would absolutely recommend her!

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

My son was in Stacey Puiia’s care from 2011 - 2013 when he started pre-school. After having a less-than-satisfactory experience with another childcare provider to which I had been referred, my spouse and I began an exhaustive search for a better fit for our first-born baby boy. My concern was that our new provider would be sensitive to my son’s specific circumstances. We became a family through an interracial adoption (from birth), so we wanted to be sure he would be with a caretaker that was both respectful of his cultural needs, and affirming of his emotional needs, while keeping him safe and fed and happy. We had interviewed and toured nearly a dozen local home daycare providers when we finally struck gold! We could not have found a better home daycare provider than Stacey Puiia. She was amazing, on all fronts. She was warm, doting and kind, with a soft but firm authority that put us at ease leaving our baby in her care and protection. Her instant connection with our son made the transition we were dreading a pleasant one. Not only did Stacey treat our boy as her own (she was like a second mother to him), she went above and beyond whenever she could. Our boy was (and is) an eater, and there were times when the basic meal plan just wasn’t enough for him. Stacey generously supplemented with food from her own cupboard to ensure he was content! Our son was always happy to see her, and he still (now age 10) remembers her very fondly. On occasion, we stop in just so that he can visit with Stacey and catch up. She is always thrilled to see him and that instant connection is still there after all the years! We couldn’t have asked for a better fit! We would absolutely recommend Stacey to any parent, reluctant to let go (as we were). Thank you, Stacey!!

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

I wish I had good things to say about this provider when me and my husband originally interviewed (while pregnant) we felt she was the best choice. She lied to us she did not vow to keep our child safe. our child was left alone multiple times, she was left to sit in her own soiled clothes and diapers even though our child had an adequate amount of supplies left at this home. The facility/her house was not properly disinfected after the children left on a daily and weekly basis which costed us in medical bills because we were constantly at the pediatrician. After doing much more necessary research we found that she was not practicing what she had vowed to do as a licensed provider. When confronted about her practices and our concerns for our infant daughter she became very defensive almost as if she was hiding something and then tried to flip the scenario and said that we were paranoid and that we made her feel scared and full of anxiety (it was actually the opposite we were scared and anxiety ridden because of the situation); she then she proceeded to cancel our contract (blessing in disguise) when confronted about a recent concern of feeling targeted and treated differently because our child was biracial. This woman threatened to cancel in the past when we addressed previous concerns and that same day (the day she cancelled) left our items outside in her driveway. We almost wonder if this is a constant practice of hers when she knows she’s not doing the right thing because she’s been doing it for so long, she knows how to cover up. I wish we had did more research sooner, we were so trusting because she was so kind at the beginning; when you’re dealing with someone’s child you should always have a kind heart and try to be a little more understanding as to why a parent may be questioning what they feel is not right with his or her child. The red flags were there but we did not pay attention. Luckily within days we were able to find a provider which we feel would be an excellent fit for our family. Long story long there is better out there do your research and take your time. Our children are our most valuable assets. Find a provider will that will put themselves in your shoes.
