Description: Southside Library’s goals are based on the needs of students to become information literate. Classes meet weekly with lessons planned to coordinate with the TN standards being taught in the classroom, as well as, library skills for that particular grade. These library skills are set by the American Library Association as standards for teaching information literacy. Third through Fifth grade students come to the library weekly for 45 minute sessions. The students also check out books during this these sessions.
