Steer clear! We enrolled our two-year-old here 10 months ago, and we have had numerous issues with Jillian (one of the owners). Anytime we have brought up a question or a concern, her immediate response was to threaten to "release us" from our contract; basically, if you don't like the way she does something, she has no interest in discussing it and would be happy to leave your child without daycare (obviously, any place good has a waiting list). Which is exactly what happened to our family a couple of weeks ago. The facility electively closed the entire week of Thanksgiving and still charged tuition, and I questioned the fairness of that closure and payment: see the attached photos. Smarty Pants cashed our post-dated check a week early, "released us from our contract" the next day, and will not return our NUMEROUS attempts to reach them about why they won't return $275 they took from us. There is rapid turnover with the teachers, as well. Jillian acts like they run a non-profit and is constantly asking for "donations" (we spent $150 on our child's back-to-school supplies). Everything about this place is a money-grab, and there is no true relationship with families.
I had no issues with Smarty Pants until I started potty training my daughter at home. They were not helping what so ever at school. the fact that they had different teachers in her class room everyday may be part of the reason because they didn't know the kids. One day I picked up my daughter and she had a pull up on with POOPY underwear on over the pull up. I brought the underwear in the next day and showed them and asked for an explanation. She continuously had "accidents" and when at home she had an accident maybe once a week. I understand accidents happen. I asked to speak with the director at one point and one of the employees said, "she is gonna for the day but I will have her call you tomorrow." A week went by and I never received a phone call. Her last two days she was there they sent her home in a pull up each day (I send pull ups for her to NAP in only). Very expensive and I would not mind spending the money if my daughter was receiving the care that she deserves.
