Description: HEAD START is a federally funded program for preschool children from income eligible families, with an emphasis on children who are disabled or have special needs. Children participating in the Head Start program are involved in a variety of educational activities while socializing with other children to help prepare them for kindergarten. They are also examined by health care professionals for any health issues including hearing & vision tests and immunizations. Head Start offers opportunities for family members, such as job training, parenting classes, assistance in obtaining adult basic education and GED, and health and nutrition classes.
Where possible, ChildcareCenter provides inspection reports as a service to families. This information is deemed reliable, but is not guaranteed. We encourage families to contact the daycare provider directly with any questions or concerns, as the provider may have already addressed some or all issues. Reports can also be verified with your local daycare licensing office.
