Description:
At Sequoia Preschool Academy we provide all-inclusive programs for infants through 6 years old. Our multicultural curriculum is designed to prepare your child for kindergarten both academically and socially for kindergarten. Each day your child will be working on letter and number identification and recognition. Our childcare center is literature rich and one of our goals is that your child leaves our program and heads to kindergarten knowing their letter sounds and numbers. Each day we also work on our fine motor skills such as cutting and writing, and gross motor skills such as balancing, jumping and pedaling.
Our preschool and childcare is committed to providing a high quality childcare program that’s an extension of your ideas as parents. Parents and staff work together to provide a warm, loving, safe and healthy daycare environment that ensures each child is able to grow and thrive.
Where possible, ChildcareCenter provides inspection reports as a service to families. This information is deemed reliable, but is not guaranteed. We encourage families to contact the daycare provider directly with any questions or concerns, as the provider may have already addressed some or all issues. Reports can also be verified with your local daycare licensing office.

Not a good preschool. They had a bucket on the table to have kids washed hands in. They played outside for two hours and had circle time for 45 minutes to an hour. Too long for young two year olds. They had all the kids together from two to five. They did art only outside. They had the kids go potty while a teacher was standing by the door and the teacher could not see the child. No smoke alarm in the classroom. I would not advise anyone to bring a child here.
Sequoia Preschool has been a blessing to my kids and I'm glad to have signed up as soon as I did. They have been attending here for over a year now and the results have been overwhelmingly positive. My mother commended my child's improved verbal & social skills since attending Sequoia Preschool. I admire the teachers' patience and time especially that of teacher Samantha with teacher Tammy's help, on working with my child and helping him get prepped for kindergarten.
The parent - teacher conference is a very important aspect that should be taken seriously. The teachers don't "sugarcoat" anything and will inform you of what's going on with your child. If ever in doubt just ask the teachers.
The Infant teacher is very caring, nurturing, and was like my child's 2nd mommy before moving on to the Toddler class; the Pre -K teachers rock as they make learning fun, understanding, and prepare my child for "the real school world" and I need to get the "secret" from the Toddler teachers on how "they do it"... with transforming the "terrible twos" and "No No" clicks into fine young polite children.
I am grateful to Director Janet and all her staff for keeping up this environment of learning, character/stamina building, and diversity as they cater to my children's needs accordingly and my family feels very safe and we have no worries with them attending this school.
Their location and hours of operation, are a PLUS and fits perfectly with my office hours.
If you're a parent and in doubt or uncertain of a choice of day care/infant/preschool to send your child to, please visit Sequoia Preschool Academy and see for yourself.
A big thank you!
Please keep up the amazing work you do...
When I started working at Seqouia I thought it was children's world, but I was wrong. My 3rd day I was left alone with 17 kids in the back room. The next day we had 3 teachers with 12 kids. You know need one teacher. As time went on I was constantly left alone with anywhere from 14 to 22 kids. Janet the director and owner spent most of the time in her office Not doing anything about it. There was always an excuse. Another time she sent home the Aid we had when there was 14 kids. She said, "there's only 14 and I am here." The ratio by law is 1 teacher to 12 kids. So that's why she said we were ok but she never went out to be with the kids the whole time I was alone with the this. THIS PLACE DOESN'T FOLLOW REGULATIONS. The front/main room isn't allowed to be used after 8:30/9 when the kids go out so that room full of toys isnt really used but for two hours
