I have been an SMH employee for 5 years and I was hesitant to enroll our twins in daycare, but once they were 2 years old we received a call that there would be a spot for us! I have had the pleasure of interacting with Mrs. Debbie at the childcare facility when I drop off and pick up my twins. From the moment we enter the facility, she has created a welcoming atmosphere. She allows us as family members to escort the children into the classroom, interact with the teachers, and observe the daily environment that the children are blessed to be a part of. While doing this, I am extremely impressed by the quality of the educators that she has hired and the knowledge that each of them exude. The activities and the instruction that the children are exposed to throughout the day are extremely meaningful and purposeful. To the untrained observer, their “play” seems simple and possibly irrelevant, but when you look deeper we see that through play, the children are learning complex concepts, social skills, and vocabulary. The play environment enhances their imagination and their creativity. The children discover a love of learning in a safe and loving place. Debbie provides a place where learning takes place alongside of fun! We are very grateful that she provides exceptional leadership to her amazing staff. We are also very grateful to be a part of the SMH Child Care family, too!
My son recently just graduated and moved on to kindergarten. SMH and it's staff throughout the 5 years of my sons life have always provided the safest, happiest and fun environment for my son! There was rarely a day that he actually was ready to leave when I showed up to pick him up after work, he always said "Dad I'm having too much fun!" I sincerely thank all of the staff for their caring attention and hard work they put in every day!
