The pre-school program at Saint Benedict Academy falls under the umbrella of the Saint Benedict Academy school community. The newly-renovated classroom houses our 5-day, full-time pre-school with a maximum class size of 15 students. A high-quality, early childhood experience is invaluable for any young child. That experience can help set the foundation necessary for future school success. When all areas of a young child’s development are supported, he/she can develop a love and enthusiasm for learning, which is essential to the child’s development as a learner and a member of a community. A typical pre-school day at Saint Benedict Academy offers a balance of different learning opportunities for young children: Prayer; Free play time; Whole group time (including daily routines, such as calendar, counting- whole group literacy experiences with charts, songs, books, theme or project related content sharing, demonstrations of learning activities); Learning center activities; Small group work, theme/project related projects; Reading; Music & Movement; Outdoor time; rest; and specials including PE, Spanish, Music, and art. Saint Benedict Academy serves students in grades Pre-K to Six.
Class Cap Sizes:
Pre-K - 15
Kindergarten - 20
First through Sixth Grade - 25 per class
All classroom teachers are fully licensed by the NH DOE. Several paraprofessionals with ECE experience and credentials offer additional support in the classroom.
