Experience

I raised two children of my own. I worked for two years in a licensed daycare home, before becoming licensed through the State of Michigan in the year of 2000 in my own home.

Direct and Provide Care for Children. Completed training classes for daycare providers. Have my Heart saver Pediatric First Aid Card, and also A-1 Health Safety Education Card. Course Curriculum completed: Pediatric First Aid Asthma Care Training for Childcare Providers Optional Pediatric First Aid Topics: Includes education how do deal with injuries Adult/Child CPR with Mask Adult/Child AED Infant CPR with Mask. Certificate for Blood borne Pathogens-Childcare State Requirements

Care

Caring for infants and preschoolers is my chosen profession. I get personal satisfaction from being able to meet their needs, through giving praise and positive discipline. I attempt to build self-esteem. My guidance and discipline are preventative, not punishing. A child will be removed from the group for a short time. He or she is not isolated or shamed. I try to show them that certain behavior is unacceptable, not that they are unacceptable.
