Description: Founded in 1963, Rainbow Corners Nursery School is a cooperative, non-profit, non-sectarian nursery school.
RCNS is New Jersey licensed and NAEYC-accredited (National Association for the Education of Young Children).
Our philosophy is that children are able to learn and grow through their active play. Children learn by doing since "play" is a child's work.
We wish to foster children's social, emotional, intellectual and physical development through their own activity and discovery, as well as cultivate in them a positive self-image.
We seek to help our children feel competent to learn, grow and trust themselves and others.
Where possible, ChildcareCenter provides inspection reports as a service to families. This information is deemed reliable, but is not guaranteed. We encourage families to contact the daycare provider directly with any questions or concerns, as the provider may have already addressed some or all issues. Reports can also be verified with your local daycare licensing office.

I looked long & hard before deciding on a preschool. There are several good programs in the area, but not one compares to Rainbow corners co-op Nursery. Both of my kids attended this school, and both flourished. This school is designed to meet the needs of each individual child. It is a wonderfully warm and friendly environment. My kids both went to school happy each and every day. There was never one moment where they felt uncomfortable or unsure about going to school. While at the co-op, their confidence grew as did so many of their developmental skills.
Both my children had amazing growth in their fine motor, social, gross motor, pre literacy, and mathematical thinking skills. Although a lot of the curriculum appears to be through play, this is carefully orchestrated. The students learn ALL of the skills they might in another school- without anything being forced on them. This has only led to both of them LOVING school. What more could a parent ask for?? At R.C.N.S students have gym, and music. There are so many special days throughout the school year and each class goes on several local field trips. I can't think of another school that can say the same. The teachers are all dedicated. no high teacher turnover here! If your child goes to this school, not only will they feel happy and cared for, they will also have a great time AND be so prepared for kindergarten! Not only that, they will love to learn and be set up for a lifetime of success. As a parent, you will get to see all of this first hand! The co-oping experience is amazing, and I NEVER once felt at all overwhelmed with any responsibility. Attending this school is an unbelievable experience for your whole family. As a new mom to the area, not only did my children make great friends, but I did as well. No other school can compare at all!! It is positively the best experience possible.
