Would not take my kids anywhere else! Absolutely love pumpkin patch! My four year old is beginning to read! My kids never want to leave. Highly recommend!
I have been a part of the Pumpkin Patch family for multiple years, and can absolutely recommend this facility to any parent!
The infant teachers are amazing. These gals don't just let the infants hang out in swings all day, they utilize sensory play, sign language, cultural themes, and more.
The 2 year old class has an amazing teacher who is well versed in Montessori. I will be frank, there was another teacher last year who always made me feel like there was a black cloud over her. Very negative, and disrespectful to both parents and staff. Replacing her was a great move by the Director and brought a breath of fresh air into the program.
The preschool side is a bustling room of learning. I am always impressed at the skills these little minds are able to master. This is a Montessori classroom which we wanted, children are encouraged to be independent yet also very nurtured.
The staff is, in my opinion, well trained, educated, compassionate and discrete. They are engaged with the children and approachable.
We have been at this facility for nearly four years. Pumpkin Patch Early Education Center is an exceptional daycare/ preschool in the Helena area! My spouse and I searched at length for quality care and education for our children, and we have found that here. The school more than doubled in size from 2015 to 2016 to make room for growing families. With any growth, you can expected changes in communication, structure, and staffing (for the better). It has been clear since we started in 2013 that our children's welfare is of the utmost concern. I realize that childcare is ALWAYS a two-sided relationship that demands communication and accountability from both sides. We do not engage in gossip, but instead, come to our conclusions after hearing both perspectives, then take a grounded look at the issue. When I have concerns, I voice them in a professional and open manner and expect professionalism in return. I have no concerns in this area. In fact, communication is exceptional at this moment, especially when compared to other care facilities we've experienced. We have text and email apps, ongoing survey analysis via Survey Monkey, and more. I receive daily updates from my children's teachers and the Director. My kids are LOVED, EDUCATED, SAFE and RESPECTED. I initially came to this facility because of a teacher referral. This particular teacher stated this was the BEST facility she has ever worked at and she has been in early education for over 30 years. To her the "respect from teacher to student was unprecedented." You will find the teaching staff here have higher education degrees and engage in ongoing education. I challenge you to find this level of early education and professionalism elsewhere in Helena. I know many kindergarten teaching staff throughout the Helena area, and consistently they have all said great things about the students that come from this facility. Not one negative comment. The Montessori methods are amazing to witness with my children's growth and advancement. These kids are more than ready for the world because of this early education care center.
