I have used this provider for more than 6 months

My children have attended a couple of different daycares before they came to Puffin. I have to say that I didn't know the difference between daycares and preschools until I came to Puffin. My children come home daily talking about new things and they have learned and grown so much in such a short period of time. The school has a great curriculum, also, the teachers are so caring and sweet. One of my children had a hard time separating from me and they were so patient and loving and did not get annoyed when I called a few times a day to check on them. Now the kids never want to go home!

I observed a group of kids from this school on the playground at a neighborhood park. None of the kids were at all supervised. they were allowed to go to the restroom(off the park)alone. there was no buddy systems. the smaller children were left alone and could not push themselves on the swings while the supervisors were on the other side of the park talking to eachother. As they were leaving the supervisors called to the children it was time to go. all of the kids ran out of the gate. there was no single file line,or no counting of heads. they all took of to the vans while there was still children left at the water fountain. I could not believe that the supervisors were in the van while 3 or 4 children were still walking to the van. I would never let my children or any one I know ever go to this school and I hope that the parents of the children attending this school will read this.

I gave 1 star because that only good thing is that this place is cheap. Unfortunately, children are not supervised properly. I was told by an insider that teachers are told to tell the kids to don't cry and to not give them to much attention when they cry. I didn't believe it 'til i saw it with my own eyes. Why would someone not want to offer comfort to a nervous crying child that is learning the separation process from the parent. Also, my child has come home with accident marks but nobody knows how it happened. At first my child was happy to go to this daycare, now mi kid said to be afraid of the teacher. Bite marks, scrathes, bruises, out of no where cryng upon arrival are few of the changes with my child. Upon arrival many times there is only one person in the morning watching close to 15 kids. I always complain but it doesn't last long til something new comes up. As a parent, it is infuriating because I am paying someone to care for my child. As a person it is very very sad to see how disrespectul they are with little children that cannot defend themselves. I am working very hard to improve my financial situation so I can take my child out of this place. Honest to God, I would never lie or exagerate with anything concerning my child. If you are a parent and have a child there, I suggest you show up in the middle of the day or earlier than the usual pick up time for you to catch things with your own eyes too.
