Today I gave Bryna, the owner of this daycare, our 2-weeks notice that we'll be moving on from her daycare as we're getting an au pair, as giving 2 weeks notice is necessary per her handbook. Then I paid her the fee for the week. She then responded that I shouldn't come in at all any more, and then she kept our payment and refuses to return it. She is stealing! If she is refusing service she needs to return our payment.
She then hurled insults at my husband and myself via incredibly long texts all morning and night, while refusing to answer phone calls and blocking me on social media. The obscenities she's been hurling at us - via text - today are truly appalling, beyond unprofessional, beyond rude, are not repeatable, and make me seriously question her mental and emotional capacity for running a daycare.
Communication has been poor for the past 5 months we've been using her daycare. For example, she fired her Spanish teacher (the Spanish teacher was the main reason we chose her daycare over others) and didn't tell us.
Our son came home with what looked like a huge burn on his thigh a couple months ago and Bryna had no idea how it happened.
Our son came home with a bruise on his arm that we can't make sense of other than it looks like somebody grabbed him very harshly.
A couple weeks ago my son came home with the same pull-up he went into daycare with, and it was wet. He was frequently wet upon pickup.
We asked Bryna to not allow our son to eat certain foods and were very specific with this upfront and we provided all of his meals and snacks for this reason. This was not abided by, we picked up our son and found him eating a box of cookies (that Byrna had the gall to claim we had approved! We did not.) So parents with food restrictions - beware she will likely not be able to accommodate your child.
I'm sure she'll respond to this comment by insulting my family even further but in order to protect other families and kids from her I'll leave this review right here. I don't think she should be watching children.
